Hi all,

My friend's dad plans to buy an SUV.

Place - Kannur, Kerala.

Budget: 25L

Important criterias:

1. FE

2. 3rd row usage.

The car may not used very frequently and can even be in the garage for months.

Just a car for family outings.

Only option that came into my mind was Ford Endeavour. I couldn't find any which satisfied criterias 1 & 2.

Opinions please.

I feel that Pajero can be an another option that can be considered.

Even though the Engine is a tad old one, but the feel of the car is still amazing.

FE would not be more than 8-9 on diesel, while the third row should be comfortable.

Thanks Uneet.

Just took this comparison.

Pajero is underpowered in front of Endeavour.

His Dad has actually liked the car. Plus Kannur has a service center.

He just wants to lookout for more options.

I never meant it to have an FE of a car.

I meant good FE when compared to its peers. That is all.

Captiva design was not much liked and 3rd row was also an issue.

I did see an article about Honda CRV diesel. It will be a car to lookout.

For such limited use-why not something regular-like a safari/scorpio?

I did say that.

He wanted an 'SUV' which is one above Innova(MUV)/Safari/Scorpio.

Maintenance would be just above Mitsubishi. So nothing much of a concern.

Spare parts - Any SUV in that class would have that problem.

Fortuner would be way out of budget. If I am not wrong.
