VGT-variable geometry turbo(primarialy reduces the turbo lag associated with fixed geomerty(of the blades) turbo.

if same engine (1248cc) can give 90 BHP (eg linea) with VGT, then why dzire does not go for VGT, any new model of DZIRE

I guess its a cost-benefit thing...you know the returns might not be significant for the cost incurred in changeover to VGT for DZire.

The reason for this would be positioning rather than anything else.The Dzire with the VGT engine will completly destroy the SX4

-moreover Maruti will be planning to plonk the VGT engine in the SX4 and then sell the same and compete against the Linea(there are already rumours about this).

Swift does not have Variable Geometry Control Turbo charger.  It has got fixed germetry.

Only Verna is having VGT which has boosted its power to 100+ BHP.
