Yes, between i10 Sportz & Vista Safire, i10 scores ahead (if the extra space of Vista is not required).

Vista TDi (Diesel) & i10 Sportz (Petrol) cannot be compared - two different technologies. Choose from these depending upon your decision on whether to go for Petrol or Diesel.

Choosing between a petrol and diesel version, is the running cost the only factor which needs to be taken into acccount? As you have previously mentioned, the engine refinement would be the same for petrol and the diesel versions now.

Kindly bear with me, if my questions are silly

Yes, running cost & total ownership cost are the main concerns. In both the cases, Diesel would score ahead of petrol - looking to the difference in the cost of the price.

Besides, Vista would also score ahead on account of extra space/comfort (i10 is sufficiently good) - while i10 would scrore ahead on overall engine performance (Vista is also very good).

Please note... petrol engines have better power to weight ratio (pick-up) enabling quicker getaways through city traffic - while diesel engines have higher torque (roll-on-acceleration) enabling easier overtaking on highways.  However, as discussed before, diesel engine are these days virtually as good as petrol even for city driving.

This is not to confuse you. I have mentioned the facts, as they are.  Test-drive the cars with family & go for the one that suits you all in all.

hello guys

i own a indica vista aqua and let me give u some 1st hand details of the car. the only thing good about the car is its headlight which is not only attractive to look at but powerful as well. the remainning all is utterly dissapointing with the interiors plastic trims coming off within a month. My car brake gave away within a month of buying the car while driving on the highway and was lucky enough to survive narrowly. the rubber packing is ridiculous as it already started peeling off the doors. the list is endless and to top it all up the after sales servie is pathetic.

i have paid a huge price by burdening myself with the purcahse and i genuinely think u should be better looking for alternative.

My experience is Good. Earliar had Indica DLG and used it for almost 3 years without any problem and presently too one Tata car we are using and that too is not very popular car Indica Xeta GLG. And Xeta's performance too is not bad, around 46k done without any Engine problem since 2006. The only problem we faced was A.C. and the car was under warranty thats why they replaced the compressor F.O.C.

Car is in the service centre for the service and I can provide Maintenance detail if anybody is curious. Yeah, I phoned one hour ago and the service advisor informed me that car's battery is gone. He tried to charge it but its not working so I am going to buy a new one today. We bought in December 2006 so its not under warranty now

As far as interiors are concern, well dont forget what you are paying... you are getting a decent car with lots of space at very good price. Dont expect plastic quality of an i10 in Vista, see price difference too.

I have booked i10 Kappa - sportz - blushing red colour

I havent booked it directly through any dealer, rather from a marketing company called Addis Marketing. I hope that doesnt cause any problem;  and I have been promised that I should get the vechile latest by 21st Jan.
