ford cuts prices of fusion, fiesta & endeavour.

-from whay i could gather from varies sources on the web-Ford has reduced the discount on its cars-factoring the VAT reduction into the equation to maintain the same price reduction as before.

I reiterate like I have done elsewhere in the threads... all taxes, excise etc. (CENVAT included) are effected/levied uniformly on commodities / cars (models/versions) at the time of billing/purchase, as applicable on the material date (purchase) - it cannot be denied.

But like Binoy has stated, the discount may have been reduced for factoring the CENVAT reduction.

The price of the Vista has been reduced - it is cheaper by about 15k in Bombay - the Petrol Aura i.e.  Also - Ford is kinda screwed - the bailout from the US govt. has failed to pass the senate. Once GM and Chrysler file for Chapter 11, Ford will follow into bankruptcy pretty soon. God knows what would happen then. For example if they sell their India operations to a China Cherry Motors or some such - the owners here might just  be royally ditched
