Spark LT would be better because it is much comfortable for city driving and also your monthly usage is less. Also you can get several features at low price below the budget you mentioned.

Your budget is decent to fit all you have mentiond.

I suggest you to  test drive all the cars & post yor feedback  remember car is always a personal choice. It wil be easier for all the veterans here to guide you depending on your findouts on your opinion of test drive. I would have gone between Palio & i10 as are above the other 2.

Once you develop liking about any one car , will be easier to choose from other.

Hi,

Spark LT : Value For Money, A car with decent Interiors, Good Inner Space, Quality Suspension, Silent Peppy Engine without vibrations, Good Fuel Efficiency, Superb high speed driving (I tested it upto 140kmph only), Very good slow speed driving (city driving) @20kmph in 3rd gear, with most  important Features and last but not least, Low maintenance.

For getting similar features in i10, well... pay more! And my honest opinion i10 belongs to same segment and status is not going to change even after spending more money.

Rajiv Parashar is using Spark LT since November 07, 2007 and covered 20580kms till date and can provide maintenance detail if require.

Mileage: City with 100% a.c. minimum 13.78kmpl (Lucknow city)

City max. mileage without a.c.: 17.40kmpl once (Getting over 15 all the time).

Highway mileage with a.c.: 18.6 kmpl

This is my honest opinion about Spark LT, instead of buying i10 sportz (having all the features of spark LT), one can go for the Spark LT optional pack with alloys and additional safety features Driver Airbag & ABS.

Test drive all the cars with family because rear seat comfort is also important.

IMO
i10 (technology) or Palio (comfort)

I tried this and I had understeer, I tried that and I had oversteer, at the end of the corner I just ran out of talent!

Technology is good mustang but what really matters is over all performance. Do you think that Spark's engine is not gonna last over 1.5 lacs kms? what really matters is driving pleasure... nobody is gonna open my car's bonut to check this is S-tech engine or Kappa or KB series. Engine of Spark is very refine, very peppy & very silent. I hope you have seen couple videos I posted Spark over 150kmph & Spark touching 170kmph.

Palio is having the best build quality but its dated to be very frank. Same old interiors..no change at all. Also, petrol Palio's resale is very bad. Palio 1.6 is too good but that too for shear driving pleasure, buy this car, use this car, dont bother about the mileage ..if its giving 8kmpl.... its fine... and dont even think about Resale. And I checked with carwale tool, though the Spark is not old but yet just because of Spark's performance Resale is good.

Test drive all the cars.. that willsolve the dilema... Who says palio gives 8 kmpl... I get around 12-13 in a city like chennai with heavy traffic.Palio offers the best comfort and build quality in this segment. Palio is for people who feel comfort is priority and one who likes comfort wont sell the car within months after purchase... Stop whining abt palio resale..!!!!

Hahaha.... Binoy.... u mean i10 Calculations??? here I differ with you guys.... Dont think about the Young IT professionals who use to surf websites and forums to know which car is better in which segment. Binoy, Mostly buyers use to buy a car because of Looks and recommendations, agar neighbour nay Santro li hai to mujhe i10 leni hai... just because i10 is expensive... mentality. this is what I feel. Bro, I told earliar in a thread, go and ask users about Cc, Power & Torque.... and see how many knows? we are here and discussing cars just because we love cars and want to know more about cars. Recently, one of my known uncle bought Alto, he is having general store, I was not expecting that he will research before buying car and he bought an Alto because its cheap and so many alto's on roads and its from Maruti suzuki. He is having big family but family comfort....well, once in a week only...who cares.

You remember that Accent Executive thread? Nishanth.... he bought Accent... a very good car but mileage in city? My friend bought same and sold within a month and now he bought Fiesta TDCi Zxi.... I told him mileage is poor... 7kmpl in city? How many can afford... only those with running under 300kms.

And Binoy Bro, you are very good, your technical info is great, I respect you but difference between you and me, just because my field is real estate.... I use to meet so many and as I love cars, I use to ask... daily updates from buyers why you bought this car? who recommended it? what is the mileage you are getting? tell me method of calculating mileage? okey tell me Cc, Power & Torque. (only 20% knows... and that too the Cc).... Kanishka sold his Accent and asked me about Fiesta TDCi & Honda City.. I said City damn good a car as far engine is concern, but Kanishka you will drive atleast 1500-1600kms ... Fiesta is the best... he tested Verna CRDi and said Fiesta's is damn gudd bhaiya.... and earliar he was using Tata Safari and before that Palio 1.6. so, Palio 1.6-Safari-Accent-Ford Fiesta TDCi. if you wish I can give you his no. and call him and ask his experience, may be you feel all the time Rajiv recommend Spark & Fiesta because he is using... this is not the fact... I used so many cars after using these cars I found in so many departments Fiesta and Spark is better than the other cars and faltu darta tha mai ki maintenanc jyada hogi, mileage poor hoga.... I was getting 12kmpl from Wagon-r & Santro with a.c. in city and Now if am getting 14kmpl with spark with 100% a.c. in same city.... this is the reason why I use to recommend Spark.

Also, if someone is getting less mileage from Spark than try other cars, am sure Spark say kam he milega mileage... Alto is better... n no comments on A-star but yes, A-star is no way near Spark in performance and interiors and inner space.
