How can a tech spec be copied(not that it can't be). A styling is something that can be copied.

The engine and performance are higher than that of Innova.

All in all, Innova is better than Xylo.

Friends...
Here is my opinion about Innova and Xylo.   First we cannot compare Indian make machines with Japanese as they are way ahead and spent tremendous effort in R&D. Even if the price range is same between local and foriegn born engines, Japanese engines for sure makes the difference in quality/reliability.  Coming to the Specifics

1. If someone looks for Ride comfort and Reliability in all road Terrains, I would defenitely vote for Toyota. Those who are flexible in quality/reliability, Xylo is the best option compare to other indian make machines.

2. The best example is that people who are using Toyota-Qualis as  Taxi is still not changing thier mind to look for another SUV.. They said it's the best for thier business. No engine problems and still giving good mileage. Those guys who are running travels are the best persons to get feedback.

3. Xylo is giving some cosmetic benefits like extra cup holders. lights, ports to plug and play music/laptop etc...  But I would say they should start with engine.. Indian engineers still have room to compete with Japanese auto makers while talking about transmission etc. Those who are driving Innova/Xylo in Hills stations shall see the comfort differences pretty easily.

Overrall, comparing the Zylo with Tata Motors-Safari/Sumo would be best option.

>> Xylo is giving cosmetic benefits but please check the quality of material they are using...its fabric quality and many more things...

Fine. What about the safety aspect. Being an MUV, Xylo will be more used in the Highways than in cities. Is it,s Height and centre of Gravity makes it vulnerable in high speeds. Absence of ABS and EBD also adds up. I fear this more, because I personally met with an accident when my WagonR overturned before 5 years on the highway.

Innova has better stability, handling & braking.

I saw this Xylo color contest on the xylo website http://www.mahindraxylo.co.in/shoppe_contest.asp . You can win free holiday packages. See if anyone wants to try their luck out.
