Binoy is a doctor but has a good knowledge/reading of automobiles.  Bhusan, while congratulating him, commented that his knowledge can fetch him a Phd.  To which Binoy said wittly/humourously that Automobiles are his 'back-up plan' (to fall back on), if his clinical practice fails (patients stop coming to him).  The statement is a wisecrack / clever answer infusing pun into it.

His patients dont come to him . It is their parents who take them to him.
(Out doctor is a pediatrician- if I am not wrong.)

Ohhh Lolzzz!! that means by Gods grace many childrens are falling ill?? , hmmm ( plz dont feel bad , just my honest silly feeling )

Well to clarify most of what a Pediatrician does is take care of healthy children-a big portion of our work revolves around a field called 'Neonatology'-deals with new born babies(actually from birth to 28days of life)-and no i am not a neonatologist-but a general pediatrician.

Another big chunk is 'Preventive Pediatrics'-ie deals with giving vaccinations and health and nutrition advice again to healthy children. These would constitute about 60% of any pediatricians work and the rest ofcourse children who have health issues.

The biggest impetus for me is to see the children smile and give a wave when they leave the hospital.
