Marriot Pune - have been here a couple of times for the buffet in the afternoon. It was reasonable and the options were just endless. For vegitarians (like me) you might not have that many options like non-vegs but overall the variety if just too good. However having been for a couple of times I saw the menu almost remained the same with some changes which is something that got me bored. Its good for a change though

hey guys.

I live in Pune and genrally hangout at various place some of my favs

- Nawwab @ Camp : Nice lounge and great sound and food. Good for family and friends to hangout.

- Marriot @ SB road : Nice buffet as centaur mentioned. Less options for vegies like me but Non-veg guys will relish the buffet.

- Arthur's theme @ koregaon park : A resturant with oriental theme. A must visit. Sorry do not remember the lane number.

- Durvankur @ Tilka road : A dining hall but those who love sweets and mix of all culture do go there not so costly but food quality is good. Warning : It is always overcrowded.

- Yellow chilies @ Korgaon park : A nice restaurant with some good dishes. Some dishes are designed by the star chef from zee tv "Sanjeev Kapoor".

There are many roas side eateries in Pune. "Roll House" in Kothrud and many others.

@Master : You can try duravankur on tilak road or else Sukanta in deccan. There is also one restaurant i guess Mathura on JM road opposite the sambhaji garden.

Sukanta, Pune - one of the best thalis you can get at a very very reasonable price. The service is excellent because of which the waiting is huge. On weekends you need to wait for around 30 mins minimum to get a table but the experience is really cherishable

Tip-Top, Thane - service is great. I generally go on Sunday afternoons and dont get a waiting most of the times as I go at around 12.30-1. Food is excellent but I found it a bit pricey. Can be visited once in a while though to get a break from the routine

Rajdhani, Pune (near corporation) - Though the price is reasonable I did not like the food as sukanta or tip-top. Even service was below average with you getting served only after multiple calls to the waiter.

@satish - I think there is one more just right of Dyaneshwar Paduka chowk. I have not been there yet but I think there you get Maharashtrian thali which is good enough

Green Park, Pune - is a good place with pool side dining option. Ambience is decent. The parking lot is a bit far from the hotel entrance and so they have an electric car which gets you to the hotel after you park your car. Food is tasty though a bit expensive on the whole. Service is average on weekends.
