Dear, I know this.  If you recollect it was I who first wrote that "the good thing about it is that you are assured of the higher limit, and  that, as such maintenance of all small segment cars amount to 12/13K..." - and that was months back.  If you want I can give references to such remarks/posts made by me (months back).***   In one of my initial posts on it, I even remember asking you in particular whether the same (posted by me) was correct or not - and you replied affirmatively.

The cause of the recent discussions (?) was whether the same is free or not.  The fact, irrespective of the cost & other benefits, if any, is that it is not And that's that.  Please!

*** Here's one such post by me that is dated 26/02/2008 (you too have participated in that thread).

yeah, I remember you mentioned this thing way back but again when u post xyz+13k I thought you missed something. Yeah true cashless ownership offer is not Free, I know but actually I always use to think like that..... If I someone is thinking about Spark.... well, the on-road price including cashless ownership offer is xyz and other car's on-road price is abc. If one is paying xyz ... this price matters really, one can think I am getting Spark @abc+10k=xyz or else with Cashless ownership offer xyz.... this xyz amount matters, nothing else.

That's a different argument.  You may explain so while recommending the car but please don't say or sound that it is free (like you did before).

I have no other reservation.  I regard each car (including Spark) as good - it all depends upon the asker's budget, usage, preferences, likes/dislikes etc. etc.

I never said its Free, I said Cashless Service, means service is free onwards. GM is offering Cashless ownership offer and if you wish you can go for COO and You dont need to spend a single penny for next 3 years/45000 kms.

I am not saying that GM is offering free maintenance. Its an Offer, its upto you to go for it or not

I said... please don't say OR SOUND that it is free (quoted/highlighted above).  Ironically, your post above again SOUNDS that it is free.  If you want, I can give such references of your post too.

My dear, many askers who do not know anything about cars may get misleading message.  It is our moral responsibility to state/spell the facts as they are without leaving any scope of mis-interpretation.

Definitely, its not free... but dealers are offering even this offer as free coz I am sure when I phoned executive told me with COO 3.74 lacs on-road, n I asked if I dont want this offer then? She replied another 10k discount.

If you go for it you pay for it - else, you get a discount.  So, does that mean it is free?

Rajiv for me this IS 'free'-not even sounds like-but the statement simply means free!

I understand how this offer works and so its ok--but friend, regarding the way it is said i would go with Pankaj-as most posters wont be having a clue about warranty/free ownership and the like.

Having said that i really appreciate the effort by GM in making owning their vehicles as hassle free as possible!

The COO and the like are marketing strategies and IMHO we should stay away from the same and focus on the cars as such.

Maybe we can have a separate thread for the same explaining the facts and give a link to that whenever the need for discussing the same arises in any other thread(which in most cases does!).

And it is, therefore, our moral responsibility in the forums to bring the facts to the askers' knowledge - especially when we are aware of it.

We may recommend the benefits of the scheme & other positive aspects of the car - but should not forget to spell out the facts CLEARLY, as they are.

Dear all,
Thanks for your valuable suggestions.
I am  agree with  rajiv&deepak  abot need of  defogger and fog light and rear wiper. At present without defogger and fog light and rear wiper it is very difficult mainly in rainy season or winter season or  suppose you have to go  for very long drive winter or  rainy season , I have personal experience of it . I have gon with my friend from Bhubaneshwar to kolkotta by indica diesel and it was really tough journey because of mist.So for me fog light, defogger and rear wiper are necessary things. And  I dont want to repent after purchasing a car without these features. in I-10  sportz only has these features , But it is costilier than Spark by approx 95K.Santro is very good car but in new models of santro these features are not available now earlier I guess  Santro-XO has these features correct If I am wrong.in my view Santro and I10 may be verry good car and  may be better than spark but I10 is very costly and Santro does'nt have less features than spark.

So I think I will go with Spark LT 1.0 , But not yet finally decided.

I would like to know what is aerodynamic feature ? is this in spark , what about santro/I-10, actually dealer was trying to explain me but I could not get can anyone help me in this .

@Rajiv - I am getting Spark LT 1.0 at Bhubaneshwar on road price of  3.74+ 10K for COO, so total 3.84.
Rajiv what is current on road price in your ity including COO and what accessories they are providing with it.
Can you suggest few points for bargaining with dealer and few checkpoints as you have already purchased Spark.

I have few doubts regarding Spark as  mentioned below

1-I have read somewhere that there is some problem at odometer in spark, what is that?

2-what is aerodynamic feature ? is this in spark , what about santro?

3-What is the onroad price in your city for spark LT and LT optional , here at bhubaneshwar I am getting in 3.74 lacs onroad + 10,000 for COO ( Cashless ownership offer) for spark LT 1.0 and for Spart LT-opt 3.19 lacs and 10K for COO.
Can you suggest so that I can bargain with dealer here.

4-One more thing i want to ask you should I go for Lt-Optional , where I get Alloy wheels, Air bag-Driver and ABS  at a price difference of 35000. But Here I have one doubt what is the impact of alloy wheels on milage , someone told that milage will be reduced. Is it True?

5- Is there any problem in Inner Door Handle's color

6-Have you faced any other problem in spark so far except that of odometer and handles' color.

Can anyone tell me about gear ratio what is significant of you someone was telling me that gear ratio of spark is not good as compare to santro for city it is much better for highway driving. what is this.

Thanks and regards
Pradeep Tripathi
