The New development of Keys in Automobile industry

So Binoy knws the counter code place in car.

Kartik i guess i know were it is when it comes to Maruti cars(i guess) as one of my collegues did loose his 'only' key and then had to get duplicates from the factory(cost was 5250/-, his was a Swift)

After towing away the car with immobilizer system.can the complete car security system be replaced with new one?

I mean the theives if be able to tow it away can they refitt the security system to sell it off?

Quite possible-as a 'loner ECU' can be use-but in more likelyhood the car can be dismantled and sold for parts/scrap.

These are quite hypothetical senarious and i guess the 'friendly neighbhood car jacker' wont be a regular visitor of out forum! LOL
