... And the most terrifying experience that followed this incident was I couldn’t sleep well for 8/10 days – his face with that “blank / expression-less look” that he gave me just before he died (on hearing those **** words from me), kept haunting me...

And I still remember that face…

Let me elaborate how terrifying that was... I couldn't sleep for days as I always saw his last 'blank/expression-less look/face' peeping at me through the bedroom windows - it gave me a feeling that he really was doing so.  It was so haunting that after a couple of days I (a bachelor then) slept in my mother & sisters' bedroom for a week - and kept the bedroom & other lights on.  On a couple of occasions, I didn't even dare to go to the bathroom (middle of the night).  The scary feeling gradually subsided in 8/10 days due to the company I had of my mother/sisters - felt a little secured because of that.

Last night due to this reference, the entire episode/experience was vibrant again in my mind/ memory (and I happened to be alone in the bedroom).

Sharing an accident:-

it was long back, i was a school kid then. i was going to my tution classes on my cycle early in the morning at around 6 am. i was driving behind a loaded truck which was slow on a down hill slope. A Vespa scooter came from behind and got parallel to me behind that truck. In some time the guy lost his patience, & tried to overtake the truck at full speed, unfortunately on a Turn. An ambassador coming from other side hit the scooter head on. the guy who was driving broke the windshield ,his body half in-half out. The pillion rider hit the corner or the roof of the car. the scooter almost rolled on from bonnet, to roof & fall to side.

It was all blood & glasses on the rod. The guy finally fell at front of the car when the driver stopped the car to a screeching halt. I just got down of my bi-cycle, didnt even placed its stand & ran owards the guy. The driver thought that the guy is spot dead, and to flee from the spot he tried to run over the guy's legs. i was shouting to stop him & simultaneously dragging the guy out of the car's way. The car missed him by inches & fled. A regular patrolling police jeep came & took the guy to hospital. A policemen just asked me the car's number, which i told him though half only.

i read in local newsparer next day about the accident & was relieved to know that guys were saved & i was appreciated as an unknown boy
