Any additional Dicsounts for 2008 Honda City ZX ??

Hey all,

This is Suman. I have booked City ZX Exi model in Chennai with 100% Insurance Discount and Corporate Discount. As we know, Honda City ZX will be phased out by new third generation Honda City. Can we get any addition discounts for 2008 Honda City ZX due to new Honda City and year end? Is it worth bargaining for more discounts?

Well the Honda city ZX will also continue with the new Honda city so not much of discoutns can eb expected , well the Hondas are also offering the Alloy wheels set of FOUR for 10k rs for existign and new honda city cutsomers actual cost of the Alloys for set four would be 22k rs! i think its worht for 10k rs!

Thanks as usual for your very quick reply. I talked to the Dealers ( both Capital and Sundaram Honda in chennai ). They have confirmed that , new Honda city will replace Honda City ZX  ( EMT will replace EXi , SMT is Gxi Variant). The 2008 City will be sold until they have the stock.

Information about the Alloy wheels is very new and useful to me. Thanks a lot.

but my Honda dealers said they are continueing though i thought that they might discontinue! as you said yup they might discontinue

well if they are having a few stock , you can bargain hardd and get the best possible rate , also do blackmail them by telling you will go for the SX4 ZXi or the FIesta 1.6 S , tell them the FIesta and SX4 has better power , more features and safety features plus rates are almost the same and moreover this will be a discontinued model , i am sure they will do soemthing , also ask about the alloy wheels , also i think they are to give JBL set fo 4 speakers free!

I am planning to buy Honda city ZX, my time frame it by the end of dec. want to find out till when the model will continue. I am not interested in the new models launched

Nothing is certain or at least know, as of now.  It is likely that the ZX models will be phased out gradually - at the worst, will be available till the stocks are there (no new mfg.).


Honesty is not a Spare Wheel that you pull out when in trouble. It's a Steering Wheel that keeps you on the right path throughout the life's journey.

Pankaj is correct , city Zx will be phased out gradually. You will be getting the following discounts from Honda for City ZX Exi model

1. Alloy Wheels
2. Corporate Dicsount - 10000 ( if you work for cetain companies )
3. 100 % Insurance Free

you can also ask for accessories like Key less Entry , Vehicle Cover or Side door bleeder.

Not sure , whether you will be getting more discounts for 2008 City Zx in 2009  or end of this year

hi, i too checked with the only honda dealer in pune . he has confirmed that Honda current models will be sold till stock last and one ore thing incase you want to buy a black honda it might be difficult to get one as they are out of stock.
