Hi,

I need to buy a car in 2 weeks time in Delhi. Can someone please help me decide on the car.

Budget - 3-5 lakhs

Criteria - low cost / high mileage / low maintenance

Driving distance per day - 40kms approx

I had zeroed in on Indica Vista but the dealer told me that Vista cars have not been rolled off on the roads in Delhi yet. There is some engg. defect in this model due to which the delay. The next option I am thinking of is Indigo CS - however I am not very convinced with the looks of Indigo - CS. There is not power window , remote lock etc but the dealer tried convincing me to go in for Indigo CS. Swift Diesel is something I would have preferred but I can not wait for 6 months (thats the waiting period I am told in Delhi).

I am totally confused between Indigo CS and Indica Vista. Can someone help me decide please?

As I now understand, it’s a minor problem/noise felt during sharp/extreme turns in some cars (not all).  The present TQ Oil is to be replaced with Detron 3 Sp. Grade Oil for all cars (precautionary measure).  All the dealers have since procured the said/ new Oil in bulk & the process is underway.

I’m told this is a very minor issue, and that, there’s absolutely nothing to worry.  Incidentally, a similar problem had surfaced even when Indigo was first launched.

well if its a minor prob, u can go for Vista.

it has the same fiat engine in the swift but it has fiat gearbox rather than a tata gearbox. it has a fresh new look on the outside as well as the inside.

the indigo CS is VFM car without all the features offered in the Vista.

As mentioned by Pankaj, This is not a major problem and one can go ahead with the Vista.

Indigo CS on the other hand is value for money car and infact its a very successful car and selling in good no.'s ..better than Swift Dzire.. may be just because Dzire is having long waiting period.

Nidhi, If you want a sedan, you can go for Indigo CS,  As far as power windows and remote locking is concern... both are must and very useful but you can opt for power windows from outmarket and I guess front 2 power windows will cost you around 6k & remote locking around 2300/- only.

People dont change when you tell them that there is a Better option... They change when they realise that there is No Other Option..

@ nidhi,

vista is a good car to buy. it has good space, comfort, features & ride & with fiat's diesel engine it just rocks & overall is much better than the swift.
