I am surprised that the toyota mgmt has not revealed the mileage of the car..altis..may i ask why..? I feel these days whether u are rich super rich or not economy should be a priority because u tend to contribute towards energy conservation.. One doesnt becomes great by driving a car that has a pathetic mileage..this is certainly not a point to show off.. Going by the toyota trend ..i dont think so this car can have a better mileage than..8-9 km/lt..which in todays world is pathetic from all point of view... I dont understand why mnc are launching fuel guzzelers in india when they know the prices in india are soaring ...and there is a global energy problem honda and skoda on the other hand are more responsible people ...their cars are the best in all category.. This should be the thought point for toyota.. Pls do something about ur car mileages...

Corolla is already listed as the most fuel efficient compact car in the USA. See the link below. During my 2 hour test drive I noticed that it was showing an average of about 10-11 kmpl for the automatic version. I am sure for manual version it will be much better.

Much better?  The mileage of MT version is normally better by 1-2 kms than AT version.

Honesty is not a Spare Wheel that you pull out when in trouble. It's a Steering Wheel that keeps you on the right path throughout the life's journey.

from 8 months usage

12.7 KMs when cruising in 80-100 KMPH in RPM 3-4Range.

In city 7.5-8.5 KMs

Normal usage: It's 11KM

Thanks for the input, wondering on what gearing you are running the car(4th i guess) when you are hitting 3-4K rpm at 80-100kmph.

Using a higher gear at these speeds might give better results.
