Went to showroom today to check out the new Jazz and it seems honda is not taking any chances. When i asked for test drive SE said the test drive vehicle hasnt arrived yet but it will be available in few days. Then i asked for the test drive of current Jazz(because of same engine and all) for which he said that its going to workshop and they cant provide test drive.

Guys is it so in all cities if anyone can confirm or what..??

Then i went to maruti showroom (and it was like a fair there) to check out the swift.

If one is going for petrol then Jazz is just unbeatable...!!Smile

Yesterday i visited crystal honda, pune (Mumbai-Bangalore highway). There are 3 Jazz's, One for display and 2 for test drive (among 3, one is old jazz). SP was very prompt. He explained very well all new fetures (such as reclined rear seat). Also said no compramise in quality (as compared to existing Jazz). I was in hurry so could not test drive ANHJ.

OTR prices pune including extended warraenty (2+2) and road side assistance.

Base - 6.40 lakh

Select -  6.69 lakh

X - 7.02 lakh

@ Srihari ,

If you are looking for petrol hatchback & ready to spend 7 lacs , Jazz is worth that . It has got everything one wants in hatchback . I don't know what exactly are features they offering but they should not be deal braker as Car is much more than that alone . Also FE would be much better compare to others .

Better TD all cars in consideration first & then decide.

Hi,

Have seen the New Jazz at the showroom; no changes to the engine, however Jazz Select has chrome front grill, chrome at the rear, black/beige interiors, car looks really nice from outside as well as inside and is very spacious and gives that overall premium feeling. Things like fog lamps and rear spoiler are missing in Jazz Select and available in Jazz X, however, Jazz X has black/blue interiors and instead of chrome, front grill is body coloured - blue/black does not appeal to me much personally.

Jazz Select ORP is Rs 6.70/- lacs and on enquiring, was told by the showroom that rear spoiler can be added for around Rs 10,000/-, however, they say there is no provision for fog lamps.

IMO, the New Honda Jazz seems a good proposition, I was also given a test drive, the car was the older Jazz. Booking amount is Rs 50,000/- and car can be made available in 10-15 days as per the showroom, if colour/model not available of choice.

Also, saw the New Swift, wont mention the details in this thread, since of Jazz, would like an opinion from members, which one is better in petrol for city drives mostly, around 800 kms per month and around 100 kms on highway, total run 900 kms per month. Just for reference, New Swift top-end models have a waiting period of 3-4 months and other models of 5-6 months, as per the showroom.

Will write some points on the New Swift in the Swift thread.

Drive Safe - God Bless !

Thanx PDY..!!

hey peace,

i would say go for jazz, the whole package is worth every penny compared to swift and others. Somehow i didnt like the quality and finishing of swift's side door trims too. And also the doors seem to be very light and low on quality(i might be wrong) compared to jazz.

Like you, even the thought of blue black interiors didnt appeal me too. Dont know why honda did that. huh..!!

I too would advise to go for Jazz and preferably the top model mainly for the fog lamp, especially so, if you live in a state where winter fog is troublesome.

Hey Guys; thanks for your replies.

Am also inclined towards Jazz, however, as of now, towards model Jazz Select, did not personally like the blue/black interiors. I want the fog lamps, however, Showroom guy said no provision, only Spoiler can be added.

I also liked the New Swift, except for the few points like small boot and too much bulging rear lights. Lets see, hopefully, we will see lot of replies and a good discussion. One more angle is of Petrol and Diesel, have got no personal preferences, however, if for 900 kms or slightly more, Diesel makes sense, then Jazz wont be in the run.

Looking forward to more replies and a detailed discussion on these cars and others too.

God Bless !

Jazz is far better than Swift in totallity. People considering Swift P should give a Jazz a definate look and consider the overall VFM.
