Binoy, now you mustn't be guessing why I requested (in another thread) Charles Bhaisahab to participate in the forum.

Honesty is not a Spare Wheel that you pull out when in trouble. It's a Steering Wheel that keeps you on the right path throughout the life's journey.

But problem with the Ford vehicle is the cost of the spare parts. There this people are really killing them self. I too a owner of a ford car. Recently I was seeing that one small box which comes in FF above dashboard costs 5000. Is not it a joke... 5K you can buy a Sansonite full size suitcase only.
Again all this company always goes for a replacement policy instead of repairing.

All manufactures have a replacement policy for all parts except body shell - this is a understanding between the manufacturer and the component supplier(who will go bust if the parts are repaired)-its all business.

Having said that Ford does have one of the most expensive parts bin this side of 10 Lac cars.

It may be not only with the FORD but I believe with all Company.
If you see, the road side mechanics are more skillful than the so called company trained mechanics who is working in the Company Showroom.
I agree with you that Ford has a bad name for Maintainence...

But it has improved a lot  - nothing to worry, as such.

It’s an advancement and innovation in the Indian car industry and we should welcome it with open hands. It is a good device integrated in cars that will definitely reduce the use of mobile phones behind the wheel. It will also help drivers to have a better route to their destinations.
