Hiiiiii Binoy Thomas & Ami I have been following this threat very seriously..... And I have booked Swift VDI (the white beast Cool) And till I read this fourm I dont have any idea about the ICE set up... We do have a Wagonr and I simply put 2 sony speakers and tweeters on front and 2 Daweoo ovals on rear on a tray. Also used sony xplod as HU. However now I want something serious 2 my Swift. But after reading all this I am bit confused, to which 1 to select.. In my mind I do have 1 configuration. Please let me know is that good one along with latest  prices in kerala (I'm from Cochin).

HU pioneer 6050 (2 din)

Front JBL components  JBL GTO608c

Rear JBL GTO 948 on tray  (the shop guy infromed me this is the latest of 947)

JBL 2 channel amplifer and JBL bass tube.

Is that enough?? The shop guy also infomed me that 1 amplifier named Convex is avilable and it is a good one, is that true? Also Should I go with Damping??? He infromed me for that it costs 6000 Rs.

Hi all.

I have buyed a Suzuki swift 3 weeks ago (new 2011 model) and i have a suggestion.

Without change the radio, i want to change the speaker because have horrible sound....

I have read that i need to buy the 165mm adaptor and with this item i can install custom 165mm speaker.

Is this things true? If yes what kind of speaker i can install?? I need to know some model or the maximum deep of the speaker.

Hi Binoy/Ameen, and Carwale frnds too

You guys doing grt job & well appreciated..I gonna buy all new swift VDI(white color) next month & im music freak looking for ur suggestions to install ICE..my budjet is 50K max and my primary requirement is heavy bass should be heared out of car few meters away then clarity and performance...

1.Please suggest me the DVD head unit(1 DIN or 2 DIN which one u suggest)

2.Best Component in front door.

3.Best rear speakers.

4.Best Sub woofer.(which shud not eat all my boot space)

5.I will go with JBL1004 amp as u mentioned in earlier thread.

Does it make sense to install Components on tray instead of oval speakers to get better performance.

Im from coimbatore pl let me if you know any good car stereo assemblers there else in chennai.

Thanks in Advance.

Hello Friends - I am new to this post and have been following the threads posted earlier. Obviously this is a great forum to share best practices.

I am in the verge of buying a swift (Deisel) and before I can get into the specs of desiging, need advice if it really matters between a VDI and a ZDI version?

The only difference that I was able to collect from the specifications are that the ZDI braings Alloy wheels (while the VXi presents steel wheel), outside temp display, remote back door opener, automatic climate control, audio system, ABS.

So the key question is while most of these can be done outside (not sure on the ABS?) is it really work to spend another Rd. 86,000/-?

Please advice!

Dear Rajesh,

I would personally recommend you the Z version over V version.   This is simply because, in addition to what you have specified above, you will get following from the Z version -

  • Music System,
  • Automatic AC climate control system,
  • Steering mounted audio controls,
  • Rear Wash Wiper,
  • Magnetic Dicky opener,
  • Airbags,
  • ABS,
  • Seat belt with pre - tensior and force limit,
  • Auxuillary input,
  • USB socket,
  • De fogger,
  • Seat belt adjuster,
  • 4 Speakers,
  • 2 Tweeters.
  • Alloy wheels,
  • O/S temp display.
  • 2 Tweeters,
