Tata Ace headlights for Omni Round Head Lights: Advisable or Not?

I own an Omni which has Round Headlights.Its almost 10 years ols now. Can I replace them with the Tata Ace headlights? Also, pls advice if I can fit the Halogen bulbs in it?

interesting proposition both run 12V electrical's and if the diameter matches there wont be any problem.
Fitting the halogen wont be an issue either.

 

Thanks BinoyCould you please guid me on the following : Where could I get it done, what would be approx cost, What all additonal changes required for Halogen bulbes (one of my friend told me that some "cut out" etc. is required to be fitted)??

Place to start is a TATA dealership - ask the cost of the ACE headlight - if its considerably cheaper than the omni ones - then only go for them.

Now measure the reflector diameters and look at the mounting screws - they should be a match(roughly). Also note that there is a headlight beam adjustment mechanism for the ACE headlight so getting that also to fit might be a consideration.

Omni headlights(old model) should be available - by law all car makers have to provide spares for discontinued cars models for atleast 10 years and in most cases 15 years. Getting the reflector from Maruti will be the ideal setup.

If you  find the reflector size match do write in- will be happy yo provide you with info on how to do it.
