@chirag

Optra is better when compared with the verna , i prefer if you drive mostly in highways say around or above 60% of your usage in highways , then perfer the magnum diesel LT, or else go for the Diesel LS

hello chirag,

magnum is the best diesel in town today, it is much powerful, refined, spacious & comfortable & a safe car. it has disc brakes all around & if u go with the LT mode u get 2 airbags & abs too.

u just once go & take a test drive of magnum & i am sure  u will not look at verna thereafter.

& with chevrolet's 3yrs maintainance package it is a very good value for money.

go with magnum.

Chirag, you are thinking about Chevrolet Optra Magnum Diesel, dont be confused! This is the best diesel car available in India in this price range, even if you compare it with Octavia, Magnum is VFM.. More or less similar features, Mileage you will get in city 13 to 15kmpl and 17-19kmpl at highways.

Nowdays GM is increasing service network and maintenance of GM cars are not high now, Magnum Diesel is a quality car, Go for it!

People dont change when you tell them that there is a Better option... They change when they realise that there is No Other Option..

Hi,

Hey how come i  miss this discussuion. Hey who wants to buy Optra magnum(D)!!!!!!!!!!!1 What r u waiting for?????? Go for it. The best diesel vehicle on this earth. Just go for it. Verna huh no ways. It gives a whooping average of 15-17kmpl in daily use. And i m sure all of us are aware of the power this beast generates. The best way to trust our words for you would be to go to the nearest Optra dealer and get a test drive. And take my words you would not feel like coming out of the car. Give a shot mate.

Regards,

Rubal

Chirag go for it, just test drive the car & I am sure you will fall in love with the monstrous power with sheer comfort.
Guys this car is REAL value for money, sheer driving pleasure, comfort, superb air conditioning & power like you are driving a jet fighter. I have bought OPTRA LT  0n 30th  June 2008 & have driven 3000 Km without any problem, service by GM have been satisfactory. The mileage I have been getting in the city is 12.5 KM PL before the !st service, as per my experience in Skoda Octavia the mileage on highway would be better off 18 KM PL, expect the city mileage to improve after first service.

Compare the specs & performance with VW Passat and you would be thrilled what you are getting for less than half the price of PASSAT.

Awesome is what I can say about my experience with my car.

Hi Guys............I had the same querry as Chirag. Thanks for solving my problem, but the confusion started with the introduction of CRUZE, what do you suggest.

Hi

Cruze is having a more advanced engine compared with Optra. It produces 30 bhp more than optra. Both the cars have good VFM. But you have to shed 1.5-2 lacs for cruze.

But opting for optra will be good(personal opinion).

If you want SUCCESS, dont give excuses. If you give excuses, forget about SUCCESS.

@ kapil,

if u can afford to pay more & go for cruze than it is always a better a better option but u have the budget of magnum only than it is the best car available in that range.

If your look out for a car in range of 10 to 12 lacs segment no doubt optra diesel is the best

I have a Optra Diesel(LS) driven 17000 kms and get a mileage of 16 in highways with AC.
