Hi

I have Swift Dzire ZDI,

Observed the AC has two automatic operaion .

(1) Fully Auomatic: Air Inlet and Flow rate are decided auomatically . If the ouside temp is just about 2~3 degrees above your Inside Set temp then it takes Fresh AIR from outside .Otherwise it circulates the Inside Air .

(2) Automatic: You decide the Air intake  ( outside or inside) then this controls just the Temp and the Fan speed.. This is better otherwise it sucks the fumes from outside ..when you stop at Signal etc..

Normally I will open up the outside air for some toem when I start the car  and switches back to inside circulation after few minutes.

Does the automatic climate control in cars work by occasional opening of the air intake vent automatically.

It does. And yes.. it is to stabilise the cabin temp.

in your case, juz set the desired temperature to a lower level (say 20 deg or so) and see..
