Hi,

I have recently purchased an Accent GLE. I need to know what is the maximum rim size that I can fit, without too much modification and drop in performance.

Would I be able to fit 15" rims? I am interested in actually fitting on spinners and the best comes in 15" onwards.

Awaiting your replies

Yes 15" wheels can be used, will have to go with a lower profile tyre like 185/55/15 or 195/50/15..the ride will become harder and the chance of getting the rims bent on low profile tyres will be more.
Also if possible avoid the spinners!!

Accent GLE comes with 175 / 70 R13 as stock. You can easily upsize to 15 inch wheels, as suggested by Binoy but you will have to compromise on the ride quality.

If you do not want to loose the ride comfort, go in for 14 inch wheels, probably 185 / 65 R14.

Besides ride quality, it would also affect the suspensions - I suppose.

Honesty is not a Spare Wheel that you pull out when in trouble. It's a Steering Wheel that keeps you on the right path throughout the life's journey.

any thing too much or too less is harmful so if he replaces to 13'' or 14'' alloy wheels than it would be fine but if he goes with 15'' inch wheels than the extra size & weight of it the suspensions will have to struggle & can get affected in the long run & going with 15'' he will have to take low profile tyres & with this he will not get that much of cushoning required therefore ride will be bit harsh & due to this i think suspension will be affected in the long run.

Its unlikely that the suspension will be damaged as in the US the accent is sold with 14/15/ and even 16" wheels as option!

If ride-quality is affected, suspensions too are affected in turn.

Ride-quality & suspensions, in any case (with or without upsizing) get affected more in India for obvious reasons

yes due to our road conditions it is going to get affected but with doing this kind of thing it will get affected early before the expected period.
