MT would return approx. 2 kms of mileage more than the AT, in city & highway both.

Honesty is not a Spare Wheel that you pull out when in trouble. It's a Steering Wheel that keeps you on the right path throughout the life's journey.

Hi Ashwini, in the City the Old Corolla MT gives about 11, the Altis might give you the same.

And regarding maintainence, i agree with Vittal, its pretty much maintainence free. Also if you're lookin for a "relative" maintainence idea, then do let us know which car you have/had earlier. Yes, when compared with cars in this particular segment. Its Maintainence free.

Cheers !

Hi

Fuel Efficiency of Corolla Altis - Manual Transmission.

10.4 (City) / 14.6 (Highway)

Just for further info, for those whome FE matters alot-

i Read at the Carwale blogs itself that the Corolla Altis CNG is coming soon. And when that comes that would be the only option on CNG with the given competition. (City and Civic).

Well folks, thanks for all the advice, but by the time it came, I had made up my mind and have bought off Altis 1.8G, in Champagne Mica colour. I have just driven it for about 50 kms so far since its in my home town while I am away, but the experience is great. Thanks to all of you. I definitely believe that Altis is far better than Civic in all respects except for the style that it has, which again is a personal choice.
