Dear Mr. Sharma,
Ground clearance is defined as the distance between the lowest point on the vehicle and the road. Typically, the lowest point on the vehicle varies from vehicle to vehicle, but usually it is differential casing on the gearbox. When manufacturers report ground clearance figures, it is usually the maximum ground clearance - when the car is completely unladen (devoid of passengers and fuel). Under normal conditions (with passengers and fuel), the ground clearance is usually lower.
On Indian roads, the better the ground clearance, the less chances there are of scraping the underbelly of your car on one of our massive speed-breakers or the other assorted obstacles you find on our roads. But, a higher ground clearance also raises the center of gravity of the car, which can adversely affect the handling of the car - a car with a lower center of gravity will usually 'corner' a lot better than a car with a higher one.
All 3 cars you've mentioned have a relatively good ground clearance insofar as Indian conditions are concerned.
Ford fiesta: 168 mm*
Chevy Aveo: 181 mm*
Honda City ZX: 160 mm*
As you can see, the Aveo has the highest ground clearance of the three.
* As reported by the respective manufacturers
