True. But everyone has a few things that they go to, to recharge and put everything in perspective. For me, one of these things is the sq chase. Its obviously not for you. Youre happy with a plug and play solution and thats fine.

Perhaps I could've worded it better - what I meant is that if I wanted to chase curves and points I need to have the know-how to do that.  I'm a end-user who likes his music, not an expert on sound technology or electronics - if I were younger, perhaps I would've added this to my list of hobbies, but I've already got too much on my hand to want to venture into this field!

Dont worry I'm prob older than you. Yes this takes time, but I make time for it and the other rejuvenator by keeping my life simple. 12 hour days x 6 days a week doesnt leave time for much else. So I can only have a couple of plug and recharge options.

I think steeroid and I have been spoilt by our installer. The man is a genius, and like they say, you cant beat perfection. He just played a bunch of songs on his reference CD's, set the controls, listened again, a few more tweaks, and he was done. I have tried to improve on that for 6 months now, and still not much luck. Maybe its because I've got a fairly basic 9870 for myself ( cant afford any of the better stuff), but I've heard 9887's he's tuned, and I doubt i could do a better job there either. A lot of his customers have echoed the same sentiment. So we just give up, and get down to the thing ICE is all about, enjoying the music

Maybe I'm just different. To me, having someone tune my setup would be like, sending someone on a vacation on my behalf and then looking at the pictures of the trip to feel like I went on the vacation.......thats just me. If it works for you then thats good.

At the end of the day what works for you is good for you. All this is just the process not the end. The end is the joy of listening
