Thanks Sri,

There are a couple of things that confuses me after going through lots of reviews

1) some say its AC is as good as a cooler.

2) some say Its brakes are not that good.

Can you throw some light on this please.

One thing I noticed on its AC. I am driving a new optra magnum diesel LS for only a couple of days now - and its AC (no automatic climatic control here) trips frequently - sometimes every 15-20 mins! I read in the manual, AC may trip to optmise power distribution between cooling and drive/performance, but then it shd come back to cooling soon enuf which is not happening. Am I missing something here?

compressor switching off and coming back on line is normal-the duration depends on the temperature that is set(even without climate control-the temp dial can be used for the same).

Try operating the unit in full fresh air mode and check for the duration of temp cut off-in Indian climate the duration should be longer in fresh air mode.
