Tilting Vehicles! A revolution in the making!

Imagine this!  A Narrow and Tall vehicle (tandem seats) that has 3 or 4 wheels that has the stability of a 4 wheeler but the manouverability of a 2 wheeler.This is exactly what we need with our crowded streets.

Basically when a vehicle is cornering the centrifugal forces cause the vehcile to roll away from the turn. This causes the load transfer to the outer wheels. In the worst case at a certain speed the vehicle will roll over. The beauty of a two wheeler is that by shifting weight the rider is able to balance this overteurning moment and make a faster turn. Also important in this is the steering (or countersteering) that takes place. (more on that later).

Bottom line: Soon therw will be fully protected and safe  narrow vehicle that will be as stable as 4 wheelers but as fast as two wheelers.

This will revolutionize our traffic and reduce congestion and pollution (think electric vehcile that tilts).

Nobody thought thiough  was interesting enough to even drop a line. Are we so cought up in the mediocrity that is being dished out to us by the manufacturers that we do not even think outside the box??

Why can't innovation come from India. If we do not start experimenting and creating gadgets,e will for ever be left dreaming about things not sold here and paying a premium for things we deserve.
