I would like to have a cheap alternative fuel like water, but here is a problem i found from net-

"Crankcase ventilation is even more important for hydrogen engines than for gasoline engines.

As with gasoline engines, unburnt fuel can seep by the piston rings and enter the crankcase. Since hydrogen has a lower energy ignition limit than gasoline, any unburnt hydrogen entering the crankcase has a greater chance of igniting. Hydrogen should be prevented from accumulating through ventilation.

Ignition within the crankcase can be just a startling noise or result in engine fire. When hydrogen ignites within the crankcase, a sudden pressure rise occurs. To relieve this pressure, a pressure relief valve must be installed on the valve cover.

Exhaust gases can also seep by the piston rings into the crankcase. Since hydrogen exhaust is water vapor, water can condense in the crankcase when proper ventilation is not provided. The mixing of water into the crankcase oil re-duces its lubrication ability, resulting in a higher degree of engine wear. "

I think mixing of water with engine oil will make it an emulsion.

Karan, if I have understood correctly, Joseph is trying to say that this technology sounds good on papers but is not feasible to implement.

So, now I can understand why Mr. Banwari opposed it in the first place. Maybe he knew that it's a non-implementable technology. And he was not in the favour of us spending money on buying these books. Kudos to you, Mr. Sharma.

yes dats wat i think too.....

on Paper,India is already a Super Power in sum yrs from now...?....

So shall we start partying already ???........    too many ifs n Buts,...too many assumptions....too many  considerations......

my simple question is (which ofcourse has been asked by sum1 b4 in this thread itself)....if it was soo easy to improve the mileage..den y dont all the Motor Companies give it a shot ?...We Indians (if not the European countries),wud ALWAYS go 4  a car which has more fuel efficiency,NO MATTER WHAT THE SEGMENT!!!!!....  ofcourse these Multi Billion Dollar Comapnies hav a fair idea of that..... then y wont they make use of it ?

Dear All,
I had seen the water4 gas DIY and it is not for the layman. It contains pulsing circuits for driving the plates and it is PWM. It can be tried ,but I feel any additional load of more than a few amps is asking for trouble !. It is my understanding that Any Vehicle is designed for optimum performance within stipulated parameters and pushing it further can be done only after getting to know all of the parameters of the engine design. This is not to throw water on the concept but to approach it cautiously and juditiously.Mr.Somendersinghs invention was done at his own expense and after many vehicles, proving itself, he had shared his knowledge with the rest of us. He could get a U.S.Patent but not an Indian one....!There are many sites giving info about DIY HHO. But putting additional burden on a already optimised electrical system of a car should be done with great care .....or else we will find ourselves stranded ....Murphy's law will strike us when least expected
Regards,
PSR

Dear Mr.Joseph,
There is a vacum operated switch in Carburetted Maruti cars.It is used to cut off the idle jet above a certain RPM.....Which means its electrical contact will be shorted with less vacum and opens when vacum of certain pre-determined level is reached.
It is positioned on the firewall just by the side of the wiper motor in M 1000.
