Thanks Pankaj, Well That's what i believe,

Examples like -Modern Diesel Engine's, Modern Diesel Engine "Enhancers" (Turbochargers,PDi's and stuff, mainly connected to Diesel), CNG and LPG are all examples of technology coming to us even before we cared to go out and find more about it.

Fine, it did take came to be a success and today we can't live without them.

Today too, we are doing alot of research on renewable-fuels. And we all want it to happen. My main motive of participating in this forum is not to discourage, "Group 1", its only to ask the "what can be's" a  "when will be" ,and this seems to be a reality check .

Okay, one last time, need to be excused.

Next post in this thread, would only be about WATER4gas and no OT.

Cheers.

Anjeel,

I read an article in TOI (today or yesterday) which talked about a car manufacturered by Hugo Spowers owned Riversimple company. Don't remember the name of the car but it's a 2-seater, highly weird looking car. It's told to be run on Hydrogen and is capable of running 106 kms in one liter (petrol or hydrogen, not sure). They say the company has successfully tested the vehicle and is starting production. The car will not be sold but rather be leased out for a period of 20 years!

Your comments on this please.

Source: Can't find TOI link but here is one similar article.

Yes, I saw it in today's TOI. It is a fuel-cell based electric car...bound to be good but expensive unless the mainstream car makers look at it seriously.

Basically hydrogen & oxygen are combined in the fuel cell to generate electricity which powers the motor (4 in this case - one in each wheel), and the byproduct is H2O.

Guys.

1)  We had the first Hydrogen car way back some 10+years ago.  This technology has been there since long.

2)  You can have Hydrogen stored in tanks and use nano fibres to store a comparatively larger volume of gas and completely run the car on Hydrogen alone

3)  You could have a hybrid that takes hydrogen from tanks and also stores gasoline and switch to gasonline when you run out of hydrogen

4)  You could have a fuel cell that works on a combination of Hydrogen and Gasoline where in Hydrogen is produced on demad from water as an example.

Only the 4th part is lagging behind in technology.  Rest 1-3 has been already stablised and avaiable inmarket.

Reg The TOI article.  It does not state whether it belongs to 1,2,3 or 4..  I have my serious doubt if this hydrogen is produced on demand from water.  The original thread of this forum was to run the car on water,  and not run the car on Hydrogen.

Please see the difference..

So, you want me to remove these posts to a new thread as it has nothing to do with water to gas?

Banwariji, please let these posts be, as it will tell the readers about something useful related to hydrogen. Smile

while the books are interesting read, but do not get mislead by the ease with which it explains how easy it is to run your car on water....Personally I have thrown these books into trash.  I find more people blowing up cash to make others rich.  Be careful when it comes to investing your valuable money.  On the other hand if you are automobile hobbiest and a qualified engineer, it is your call...to try out the experiments..
