Dear Shiva,

Theoretically you can get a super-charger fitted in Swift but its very hard to get it fitted practically. First of all, you have bought a new car and this modification will instantly void the warranty. Secondly, you will need to have a really good mechanic/workshop and a compatible supercharger in your town in order to get a successful modification. You just cannot play around with these things, a small mistake from mechanic's end and you will be paying a heck lot for it.

We are really surprised that you find Swift a under-powered car! Didn't you test-drive it before buying? If you did and it looked good then consider one thing that there is something wrong with this car of yours and visit your dealership.

Shiva,

They won't do much help. You can try K&N filters instead or maybe these filters plus iridium plugs can help too.

Whats your budget for power modification? you have to mention that. everything is relative. You cant have a ferrari at the cost of a huyundai.
looks like u are not concerned abt yr warranty also swift is not an underpowered car.
if that is so then you can straight fit a 1.6 baleno engine into it. the original suzuki swift has this engine in it and it flies.
In this engine,
you can polish the and port the heads, K&N filters, upgrade the exhaust system this will give your superb pickup and punch. but when u do this, you need to upgrade your suspension and tires too

so whats the decision?

Are you sure about the supercharger? its a costly affair.

Superchargers works better at lower RPM-when compared to turbo chargers.(does not mean they dont work at higher rpm's).

There are several kits available-have a look at this for more info

Shiva,I won't suggest you to fit a super or a turbo charger. Whenever an aftermarket turbo or supercharger is fitted in a car, gasket, connecting rod and a few more components have to be changed. But according to what I have seen in India, no other changes are made in the car. Atleast not where all I have seen. So, I would never suggest you to fit one. And it might even burn your pocket if not the initially cost but the maintenance if not installed with all the changes that are required.

I tried this and I had understeer, I tried that and I had oversteer, at the end of the corner I just ran out of talent!

I wanted to know this: Where is the supercharger located? Before or after the air filter? Can anyone lead me to vendors of superchargers in Mumbai?
