i dont think there is any good discount from the compny , but the dealer in bangalore ( tata-fiat dealer ) might be able to give u a few goodies as an offer

But my best suggestion is for the Best Choice Swift VDi  or Vdi ABS, just go for it as its worth it ( forget the offers or discounts )

Cheers,
Sri

Palio diesel is much better that Swift any day. The only issue I found, was lack of headroom on the back seat.

When I highlighted the above problem, the dealer was ready to give me Rs5000 discount!!

I also feel that Palio looks good in most aspects. However one area where i felt FIAT could definitely do better with the Palio was the dashboard. This layout has not been changed ever since the Palio was launched and even the older Uno had the same slider controls for blower & aire-circulator.

I guess improvising on the Palio also depends on where FIAT would like to position the Punto. If the Punto would be in the range of 6-8 lacs range then the Palio definitely would need a facelift (dashboard). If the Punto is introduced in the range of 4.5-6 lacs then the Palio facelift would make Palio price very close to Punto. This is my opinion.

Otherwise the Palio is a gem of a car which according to me in a great VFM car too (petrol/diesel both)!! In comparison i would add that the Swift (D) is slightly more responsive to throttle bursts than the Palio (D).

YES - a bold one in capitals - being an owner of Swift, I can tell you that. I still bought it because my family fits into it comfortable and I am OK with the space available. But, there are a few heavywieghts around us who would find it extremely difficult to get into it.

Cheers

Hi,

My answer is the Palio Diesel. Swift Diesel is crampy at rear and I still bought a Swift only because my family was comfortable in it (just). If your family has people who are bigger / taller, then, better look elsewhere and the answer is Palio.

Cheers
