hello guys one more last doubt kvsk prasad u told that palio is 1 lakh cheaper but when i enquired palio MJD SDX is lesser only 10,000 from swift vdi...

Yea the Palio MJD Diesel is just around 10 - 20k cheaper than  the Swift VDi , And at this price i think you could go for the Swift , its always a safe bet , and its simply excelelnt

i guess the VDi ABS is tremendous value, also the ABS models tend to command about 20K more in the resale market.

Yes, resale is definitely higher - like indicated by you, and for all cars with safety features of ABS & Air Bag/s.

Hi sory for barging in but i somehow have heard that palio fuel efficency is very low to around 9-10 kmpl in comparison to swift. Plus it also has a problem of gear box its a little sluggish and more over the acceleration goes down once u switch the AC on. 

i think you are talking about the fuel economy of the Palio Petrol , the diesel Palio will give a good fuel economy almost same to that of swift Diesel maybe a margnial less say at around 14 - 15 kmpl in city and 17 - 18 in highways

I am thinking of test driving Palio diesel. I guess looking into practicality, Palio diesel would be better than Dzire for the following :

Great space

Price difference of 1.6 lakh

Better Ride and comfort.

Very low waiting period as compared to Dzire.(3 months minimum for any model)

 

 

Well, to start with the Swift VDI compares will with SDE and not with SDX. Additionally, there are a lot of discounts on the Palio, thirdly, I have mistakenly added the other discounts that are extended towards the Tata Employees into it - all this combines for 90K plus and I rounded it off to a lakh.

The actual difference is about 40K between VDI and SDE.
