Go for Santro or take a base version of i10. If you feel a budget pinch, dont take a version with power windows etc.
Just a A/C in your car with enough power (1000cc or more) is enough for your requirements.

Chevy Spark,Alto,WagonR,Estilo etc are nothing compared to above. Dont waste your time on Tata cars.

It is your first car and you dont want to run after service engineers or car dealers. Santro is the most popular entry car in metros these days.

Hi there,

I am planning to buy my first car. I stay in mumbai and my daily travelling in city will be around 20 to 30 kms. Travelling will be mostly in city only and ocassionally longer trips. My budget is around 3lacs and can be extended till 3.5lacs. I am ok with new car or second hand provided it is not very old and  is in good condition. My requirements from a car are listed below in the order of importance, (1 being most important and so on). I am 5ft 10 inches tall, and I am currently single, so I will be alone driving this car. Also considering rise in fuel prices in future will it be advisable to go for LPG/CNG fitted cars  in Mumbai? Pls guide me. Thanks and Regards, Vinay

  3. Comfort – basically Air conditioner

  4.  Reasonable Resale Value

  5. Value for money

Chevy Spark is the best in this segment, my personal experience after using all the cars, Santro is no way near Spark, its old now and as far as ride quality is concern spark provide the best in class. You can check my User Review HERE

Mileage..... way ahead santro n estilo ..... I am getting around 14kmpl with a.c. in lucknow, from santro MAXIMUM 12 wid a.c.

As far as resale value is concern, I hope resale will be very good cuz car is very good, 0 to 100 .. spark is best... 100 to 0... spark is best .. braking is very important factor.

Still we are using Santro UP 32 BT 3342, i mentioned reg. no. just to make sure that what i am telling u is based on Actual City Driving, Same City, Same Route & Same Driver.
