My car salesman says the spoiler improves aerodynamics dramatically. It's hard to swallow. Much of truth is there to it?

Dear Sanjay,

You will not be able to swallow it, its a big one! Its a sales gimmick. That little strip at the rear end of ceiling will not improve anything except for the looks. It seems that dealers are more interested in selling accessories than cars.

CarWale Android App is launched. Download by searching for CarWale in Android Market on your phone or using this link: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.carwale

hahahah
Mr. sharma is right.
but wait, the right one will actually improve the aerodynamics and the grip also,,,provided your car can touch speeds of 250km/hr....can it?

Rightly pointed out the spoilers are for high speeds only so no use for city driving other than the looks.

Spolers for c-segment cars like indigo etc cost somewhere between 2k - 6k. No idea abt swift but expect something around this range only

Rightly pointed by Madjack,
Points should not be only consideration.

i think carwale has gone off the rocker. I have sent them 2 complaint mails, and asked them to drop me from the mailing list because i think its not an organised site, they havent done anything about that and keep sending me outdated updates. Here also they have shown me as a new arrival,,,whereas some off my quesitons have been months old, so what is their defination of being a new arrival? and who is a long timer? how long? Most irritationg fundaas in life.
First site I have seen which charges fees from buyers and not sellers. Very strange.
