I have a Santro with first party insurance  (25% NCB). I am plannning to go for a new car (SX4). Is it possible to get the NCB transfered to new car without selling the old car.

No - it'll be transferred to your new SX4, only if you sell the Santro.

Hi,

I have a similar query.
I am planning to sell off my car whose insurance expires in next couple of days.
There would a gap of about 2 weeks in getting the new car. So can I get the NCB on new car, past the renewal date of existing car. I do not wish to renew the insurance on existing car by paying a full year's premium for just 2-3 weeks.

PK

Yes, the NCB can be transferred to your new car provided you buy the car within 3 months from the date of expiry of the policy (without renewing it).

I have similar query, I want to switch Insurance co. too with transfering my NCB to new car. But insurance agent want NCB certificate from previous insurance co.(National with Maruti tie up)

NIC are not willing to issue certificate (behaving like govt. dept) Please guide hot to avail NCB bonus on new car.

Insurance Company cannot refuse to issue NCB Certificate.  NCB is transferred / made available by the NEW Insurance Company, only based on the Certificate so issued.
