I have a maruti 800.My running per day is 80 KM.I would like to know whether I should fit LPG or CNG kit.CNG looks fairly attractive at this point.Does it give a starting porblem, whether the A.C works porpoerly.

Dear Jaydutt,

Maruti 800 has very much limited power to deliver, we have seen 800s with CNG, they are pathetic at times. Switching on AC makes them even worse. However we don't suggest LPG too on 800 very often but still its better at power as compared to CNG and you can think about it.

Dear Karan,

After the feedback i havce dropped the idea of alternate fuel and i am continuing on petrol, although I spoke to a couple of cabbies who had cng kit fitted and they told me that the performance was satisfactory and the car also delivered well with the ac on.Let me know if you have got a different feedback.CNG looks like a very good alternate now that Hyundai has acknowledged the same by launching a cng powered santro and getz is also likely to come with a cng version.optra is already available with a cng version.

what say???

i hav a maruti 800 on  LPG since 2001 and no probs, only things is when u r about to finish ur gas the performance comes down, thats it and it really more economical, like i get about 12- 14  kmpl of LPG.

wid LPG the powerloss is less...so i think LPG wud be a better option for the MAruti 800...
