Hi guys  ,

thanks for all the responses.... i was considering AVIGO as versa is too bulky to drive around and the rear seats dont look that comfortable as in the case of a Car ... also it's a van and driving around will not give you that satisfactory feeling ....

also in case of avigo ..its only 20, 000 kms driven ..... much lesser than versa (45k) ... also versa that i am getting is a tourist no... further i went to see the car but could not see it due to non availabilty /... so i met the owner and found something fishy.... (you know that eerie kind of intuition one gets) as he has bought an omni to transport his bags saying versa was bulky... and was also keen on rushing with the deal .... especially he frowned whn i said maybe i will get a mechanic to inspect the vehicle...

so i am counting this out...

i am yet to see the avigo.... i guess avigo has a decent space in the rear to carry bags and other small stuffs...also my parents are senior citizens ..so they will have problem getting in VERSA/// how abt avigo.. i think that shud be fine ...

so guys is avigo still a wise choice..??.. awaiting ur replies...

regards

sumeet

I had recommended Versa ahead of Avigo - provided it was a well kept / maintained car.  Well, but for the reason stated by you, there's no point going for it anymore.

Regarding Avigo, if you like the car, there's nothing wrong in it.  It is a strong & sturdy car - has 1817 CC engine that delivers 75ps of power @ 5000rpm & 135nm of torque @ 3000rpm. Mileage may be (not sure) 8/10 in city & 12/14 on highway - depending upon the driving conditions & style.

The new Avigo is priced Rs.5.54 lac (ex-showroom Mumbai).  Resale value is very poor -  for a Nov 2004 Avigo in Mumbai with 20K driven (like the one offered to you), the resale price should be in the range of Rs.1.80 lac to Rs.2.15 lac (depending upon the condition). Therefore, Rs.2.5 lac is on the higher side.

As before i suggest that you go in for the avigo.2.5 would be on the higher side.try to bargain as much as possible.take a test drive of the car and check for smooth gear shifts on all gears.try to drive the car in city and on the highway if possible.if you are satisfied with it then only go ahead with the deal.
