Can't assure about 2005. But if you car has 2 oxygen sensors its OBD-II.

As far as I know Hyundai has been using OBD-II in its Santro since the launch of Xing.

Ps: Avoiding being formal with me. I respect you for it. But its fine with me atleast. Wink

I tried this and I had understeer, I tried that and I had oversteer, at the end of the corner I just ran out of talent!

I went to hyundai serive center  in vellore to get my vehicle tested  to know if it is OBD II compatible. They said they just know how to use the scantool and nothing more than that.

When they were diagnosing my vehicle with the scantool, i happened to take some videos and snapshots with my digital camera. As soon as they connected the scantool, it gave a GUI interface where they happened to press "DATA ANALYSIS" tab and then came a list of values for parameters like...

Oxygen Sensor,Mainfold Basolute pressure sensor,Intake air temperature sensor, throttle position etc and many more.

Form the above can we conclude anything about no of oxygen sensors(if it is having only one oxygen sensor then is it OBD-I compliant but the connector looks like OBDII . I am attaching an image of the "data analysis" tab)Data Analysis

Or could you suggest me a way to identify the no of oxygen sensors in my vehicle.

The adapted throttle position, hints it should be OBD-II.

Yes, I commented after seeing the picture.

Santr not being a very expensive car, it doesn't have any features like cruise control etc etc , so its difficult to comment on it. But the Adapter Thrttle says its OBD-II.

My wagonR is two years old and I am going at service center to see OBD facility. But, can you share the benefits of it?

OBD I is just used to control pollution electronically, OBD II is to control pollution + other systems of the car like safety etc etc (depedng on the cost of the car) electronically.

@ Praneeth, warm welcome to CarWale Smile

For uploading the photos in future...

Photos can be uploaded to Albums - here's a LINK to do that.  Thereafter, a reference to the photo/s so uploaded can be provided in the text/post here - through the tool 'Insert/edit Link' (7th icon from right - available in the Reply Menu box that we use to type/post).

Alternatively, photos can be uploaded directly here in the thread/post itself - through the tool 'Insert/edit Image' (tree-like green icon - 5th from right...).

If the photos are uploaded in either of the above fashion, other members too benefit therefrom (like from discussions) & may also be able to offer their views, if any.

If you have any problems in uploading the photos in future, please ask any member to guide - they will be too happy to do so.
