Hi Guys,

I'm planning to install audio system in Hyundai i10.

I have thought about following configuration. Please advice.

HU : Pioneer DEH 4150. Actually i want to install  DEH 5150 but its not available in Mumbai at present. Few shopkepper are asking to install DEH 5190 and are quoting rs 9,800/

Speakers

Front - Polk DB 651 (cost rs 3,300/)

Rear - Polk DB 691 (cost rs 4,800/). (I'll put tray at the back)

I want headunits with front cd loading and front USB, hence  shortlisted Pionner 4150 & 5150. Will 5150 will provide better sound quality than 4150??. Personally i'm keen on 5150 since its not available does it make sense to go for 5190 @ rs 9,800/. For

I dont plan to install sub or amplies in the future.

Waiting for the expert advice.

5150=5190 onlyLaughing Both r same unit but branding with diff no due to company market policy for differet country. Go for it if u keen.

However, think to opt 4190sd as having memory card features and u dont want to go for subwoofer considering 4190 has 2 preout.

Take db690 instead 691, as both r almost same but 690 availabe at cheaper price. So, save some money for party! Front speaker db651 is fine.

My last question -

Does 5150 will provide better sound quailty than 4150??

Secondly 5150 has EEQ 7-band digital graphic equaliser and 4140 has  3-band Parametric equaliser. Does this feature make any difference to sound quality??

I am not an Expt but going throught the Link and Browsing the info...

I can say that 5150 and 5190 mean one and the Same. 5190 is for Indian Market, So can gove with it. As it has 3RCA and EEQ 7-band.

Yes 5190 does make the difference, where u can have choose to select different mode(u get extra 4) ...

By 5150 u have 7band equaliser in plus. If u like this features as well look just go for it.

I DONT WANT TO PUT SUB IN FUTURE BUT

I WANT GOOD BASS..

SO I HAVE ONE COMBINATION IN MIND.

FRONT JBL 265

REAR POLK DB 691

HOW ABOUT THT SETUP..?

WILL IT GIVE ME GOOD BASS ??

Hi Chintan ,

You can tune your HU to match your taste like high bass or treble or the combination which you prefer . Only thing is that your speakers should be good enough . I feel the setup you mentoned is good enough to satisfy your requirements .

ONE MORE THING..

HERE THE DEALER TOLD ME THT HE HAS JBL 652 FOR FRONT.

IS THERE ANY MODEL NO. LIKE 652  ???

I THINK THEY ARE FAKE.. THERE WAS " MADE IN CHINA " WRITTEN ON THAT...

ARE THEY FAKE OR ORIGINAL  ??

I think the current model is  JBL GT5-S265C and JBL GTO608C. May be they confused with 265

hi i am planning to get an ICE for my i10....

if anybody would be kind enough to suggest me some combinations...i dont want to get the speakers fixed on the parcel tray and am lookin for components for the front doors and normal speakers for the rear..

please suggest me some gud combinations...
