this problem is faced by me as well with Xeta GLG with CNG kit of Tomaaseto Achellies. It is related to tuning of CNG supply. every 5K change your spark plug and clean air filters every month.

Otherwise in my openion Xeta with CNG is very economic compared to petrol. I have achieved 23 km / kg of CNG ( with AC on ) on Mumbai Pune Expressway.

Spark Plugs changes every 5 k ! Well that turns out to be an added part of maintenance then. i am guessing this would happen even without the CNG kit.

i have been using an LPG car for 2 years now,( a Wagon R ) and I've had this problem of Spark Plugs.

About CNG, i am not very sure because it hasn't been long since i got the CNG fitted in another car.

both lovato and landi renzo are excellent companies .. any would give god results provided your fitter is a profesional too and uses original parts and not substitutes

if you drive 1000 kms p month and intend selling the car in a year, it does not make commercial sense to convert to cng at all

I recently bought Toyota Corolla 1.8 H2, 2004..is it advisable nw to convert to cng...kindly advise.

Speaking in general.... if your run/usage is substantially high, CNG will be very economical. Running cost would amount to approx. 1/3rd of petrol.  Maintenance cost will be little higher but negligible in terms of savings the CNG would return.  Performance on CNG will not match with that of petrol - but it will not matter in normal driving conditions/style - more in 1.8 litre car like yours.

Go for original Italian Kit.  Approvals for Kit/Retrofitment are car/model specific.  Check for the ones approved for your car/model.

I am planning to buy Accent ece or honda city make 2002 model can it be ok to convert it into CNG please advice me.

hi alam

my advise is to buy honda city 2002 model its a nice car

best mileage

nice drive

nice look

very comfortable easy  ride

and it also works fine with cng

i also owned honda city 2000 model two months ago

and it feels great driving this car

dont buy hyundai accent it is not a nice car for petrol as well as for cng it produces sound with cng as compared to honda city which remain silent

mileage on petrol is better of honda city then accent

check the things before u buy honda city

engine, engine smell , engine condition , rpm on petrol , battery is it ok or giving less current check tyres for cut and scratch there age , suspensions their age , body line everywhere in the bonnet behind below everywhere , is the car making sound while driving or is humming during running then it might be problem of mounting , then check ac rpm on ac , check gates every gate, then electric system everything  , steering whether it is smooth or not if not then reduce price upto 5000 as power steering pump cost 7000 rs from juunk market , check its chassis , its cooling check the temparature meter and run it over 100 then check the engine again and smell it

and also temp meter

do all which is required

and honda city is the best to buy

i make it run it to 145 kmph on cng and it work good

not a single click

go for it and buy it

but must check it dully

problems related to cng

less mileage, less performance, switching off in high speed , when ac is on in idle condition , ac tripping off

, missing etc

solutions( these r the solution as per the ecu is oki and engine condition is good) check them before ok

this will surely help

and for query ask

okie

it should be noted that cng requires regular cng setting adjustments depending upon ur driving style

or after servicing or driving condition

first of all take ur car to a good mechanic for servicing

ask him to check

spark plug (they should be clean with spark distance to be between .7mm to .9 mm)

air filter (it should be changed and the cng mouth should be in its proper place and fixed )

check the boot of air filter it should be clean no obstruction)

but obstruction is required in mpfi engines running on cng about 40% )

distributer settings

and all other things done in service

now check the rpm of car on petrol

they should be stable at 1000 rpm or 900 rpm in with and without ac in idle condition

drive it and check them after it

if they r not stable

then check ur throttle cable it should not be corroded or wear teared it should be in normal tension

if the rpm is not stable then ask him to clean the throttle body

and make ur rpm stable on 900 rpm

this should be done on petrol not on cng

now switch ur car to cng

now check the rpm

they should be stable and constant but might be less then what was normally on petrol

checkrpm in idle condition when ac is turned on they should be stable

take a drive and then check rpm they should be same in idle condition and also on running neutral

if nnot

then cng need setting

go to goood cng mechanic or u do urself if u know

check the control knobs on the cng refulelling junction and also behind at the cylinder

drain the oil from cng kit by opening the screw below it 13 number ke paane se khulega

check ur distributer setting in carburretor cars most of the mechannic dont knoe about that

then make them a bit highher

this will solve

if not

then

ask the mechanic to install timing advancer which will thwn regulate the current in car

it is installed in mpfi cars or u can say aauto controlled cars if not then

make the air mouth close by 40% in the boot of air filter

there r two switch in cng which controls the cng pressure one is T like pressure screw

and a hand driven on the side (in landi renzo kit) or another screw on side(other kits)

usually this setting is controlled by lambda which is automatic but i will tell u manual setting adjustment which

is mostly done and is presen ti most of the cars as lambda is not prefrred and also it is not of that much use

it decreass the performance of car

t-wala cng presurre regulate karta hai

or dusra wala cng control karta hai in idle condition

so pehle t screw ko set karo

clockwise decrease it anti clockwise increase it

so

pehle rpm 4000 par karo ya us se kam then

t screw ko open karo anticlockwise or phir use tab tak clockwise ghumao jab tak rpm kam hona shuru na ho jaye jaise hi kan ho use phir se anti clockwise

ghuma kar rpm stalbe kar ke whin tight kar do

now

engine ko idle condition par set karo

clock wise to decrease it and anticlockwise to increase it

so to make engine stalbe and rpm stable

then turn on the ac lookfor the cooling and ac tripping

if yes then rotate it in such a manner that it shouls not trip off

now give a thrrotle to car and again check rpm in idle condition

they should be stable with ac on

if not then again

check for idle settings

now if this becomes ok then go for a ride

for mpfi engines ask the mechanic to set advancing rpm

now check the car performance

if it give less pick up then again set the t screw in anti clockwise manner and remember that the pic up is not less in cng but it is delayed

so give it a slight throttle to car a point will come after which u can give a nice throttle to it

and it will run fast and smooth

u must remember that it not petrol its gas so it need more temp to burn then petrol

ride smoothly

not agressively

to gain its benifits like mileage and performance both at ur own hand

so be calm while driving on cng

i laso race with other cars like corolla santro and othe cars with my honda city 1.5 exi landi ranzo kit

i beat them opn cng too

on highway and also on busy road with ac on so

its just the style of driving we have to change thats it

i hv  make it run at a speed of 145 kmph on just 2 km distance

shahdara flyover the longest flyover in asia(or only in india only as i know)

and if the car idle rpm is lowering down then again set the idle screw and also see to ac tripping off

this is all about cng setting

u will surelybenefit from this description

for query ask

okie

check karo ki awaaz kahan se aa rhi hai

agar bum ki awaaz air filter se aa rahi hai toh

check for ur car cng mouth fitting and air filter

it is usually there after servicing when the mechanic cheddeta hai cng mouth ko ya paani chala jata  hai

or ya phir oil drain karo cng kit se

agar kahin or se aa rhi hai toh check karo

cng ki fitting check karo nossel check karo

cng flow check karo by t pressure screw or iddle screw se

okie

then batao kya hua

okie

i think spark plug dont need to be changed at regular serivcing or on every 5 k they just need resetting their gap to .7 to .9 mm

and as far as i know spark plug has more life on cng then on pertrol as cng is dry and dont have lead it ti which makes spark plug go down

so do hv a look on this

Hi, I got a tomasetto achiile CNG kit installed in my WagonR a month ago . Now it runs normal in city at average speed of 60 - 65 km/hr but when i take my car on highway and drive few kilometers art the speed of 80-85 km/hr the car engine is off when i reduce the speed of car and i have to restart it . I got the car to the dealer and they adjusted its RPM but of no use .I faced the same problem the next day i drive it at the speed of 80-85 km/hr.

Since its cold outside is there any problem due to cold weather .... or there is some alternative to this problem ..

please tell me if u have faced the same problem ...

thhis is the problem of idle gas setting go my reply and check the basic settings which i hv posted u will surely find some solution or ask me anyway ur current problem

 i also do it

but my car dont stop

it jus run smoother

or u need tming advancer installation as ur engine is in need of more charge after high speed neutral to maintain the idle rpm

may ur car is carburretor

so check ur distributor seeting

or if mpfi then

u need advancer
