friends , get your  CNG kit connected with heater system  of  the  vehicle in WINTERS  otherwise u,ll  face some problems concerned with  ENGINE  STOPPING, LOW  MILEAGE, AND FREQUENT  TUNNING.          MORE OVER there is  a  provision  in  all CNG  KITS  for   heater  connections.

Hii, this is Niraj from Mumbai (malad).

I own a Swift Zxi, 2008 & m planning to install a CNG kit. Again i m confused for the kit ( closed loop or sequential) as few dealers are suggesting sequential and few r not !!!

@ Yatin.. could you please advice about green Globe, regarding howz it ???

Also i would really request raj, karan, gaurav & dr. aby to please guide me as my monthly run is almost 1000kms and all major city driving. My car at the moment gives around 9-10 kms on petrol, will cng affect the milage & should i go for a conventional kit or sequential kit..n which company ???

Go for close loop plus lambda, tap & obdi. I used BRC kit in my swift. Excellent experience.

I converted my Spark PS 2010 to CNG, ECHO GAS, Levoto kit with advancer and lamda for last 2 years but from last 2 months i am facing RPM decreasing problem on CNG. On slow speed when i press clutch it stopped. I changed Air filter, check my spark plug. My mechanic ask for T. Body clean, what you think, is it gave me good result. one other mechanic gave me the advice to check advance setting it not working properly, it should check it signal to red to green on accelrated. Their is not problem in petrol, but slightly RPM are not stable, when i ask Service Centre Mechanic they told me that it happen in CNG vechile. What should be idle RPM setting it should be 700, 800 or 1000 or etc. Some times in on netural gare it came dowm to 400 - 500 and car starting jerking. Echo gas people mechanic not find  the root cause.

Please help me out.

The gap in the spark plug needs to be very less as that would create a strong spark... So even if your spark plug is old - you can try this. Pataake maarna band ho jayega. The gap should not be more than 1 mm.

This worked for me - only if you have the tools to open a spark plug

hii guyz,

I have converted my Swift Zxi, 2008 model to a closed loop Lovato kit with Lamba & tap on Dec, 2011 at Zero pollution Kandivali West, Mumbai and now Iam facing few problems with it.

1. After few kms, the car vibrates (the interior wobbles) when i drive on CNG. i have to take the car to the mechanic there, he does some tuning and then its fine again. But, the third day it happens again. So i have to drive back again and get the tuning done. This has become a regular process now & very frustating. The mechanic says, yeh toh hota rehta hai, is it ???

2. There are, at times while driving on CNG, when the brakes are applied, the car stops and i have to restart it again. Again, no specific answer from the mechanic !!!

3. the Check engine light is always ON with CNG. is it for all the car ???

4. Also the car has become more bouncier. The rear passengers always complain about the car not being very smooth. My tyre pressure with Nitrogen is 34.

Guys please help me with a solution or also suggest me a genuine mechanic or a CNG dealer in Mumbai who can solve this issue. I stay at Malad West.

Check light issue is common. However the ECU should get used to it soon.

Reduce tyre pressure to 32. The car weight has increased by 60-65 kgs.

The other problems are not common. Try to change ur mechanic.

I  just recently converted the car to CNG. All was working fine. This sunday morning as had nothing to do decided to vacuum the car and also landed up cleaning the air filter. I thought cleaning the air filter will make the car more efficient unfortunately after the cleaning cng engine stops anytime during running. Damnn... why did i fiddle. I am wondering if the engine is getting more air due to the cleanign which is making it stall.
