Road Tax and Entry Tax

AFAIK Entry tax is for goods and not people. Maybe someone else can help in this regard because AFAIK all you need to pay is the toll and nothing else.

I am planing to buy a car in haryana next month. I will be taking that car to Chennai. Now my concerns are...:-

1. Do I need to register the car here in chennai as well?

2.If Yes then For how long I can drive here in chennai without re-registration?

3.How much is the registration/road tax for tamilnadu?

4.is road tax and registraion is one and the same thing?

please advise..!!

I had bought a second hand Esteem in July 2011 in Mumbai. Now I am shifting to Bhopal and want to take my vehicle along with me. Can you please help me with the road tax and NOC figures. Esteem is 5 yrs old (2007 model) and original price was around 4.8 lakh. On what amount road tax would be calculated

The question of entry trax keeps coming up every now and then.... I dont think entry tax exists anymore (atleast in Karnataka).... please correct if I am wrong!!
