I found these links.

Link 1

Link 2

Weight loss is mostly due to loss of body fluids from sweating.

Wow - that's great - you could find the link/s & post it here.

Have gone through those a little - will go through the details later. Thanks.

It is always related to physics as it can only be explained with physics.

Well here what really happens is because of Physiology rather than Physics.

The reason for the weight loss is sweating(increased) as already explained but the the reasons for the same are different.

The drives have to get acclimatised to the track conditions and should be able to take the thermal load.

Thermal load-can be due to the environment and the close fitting aramex fire retardants that the drivers wear.

The normal sweat rate fro F1 drives is 1L per hour and the max is 2L per hour.

FIA has recommendation for fluid consumption for F1 drivers

8L the preceding day to the race-1L before the race, 1-2L during and 2L after the race.

60% of body weight is water and it is compartmentalized and the losses occur from outside the body cells(hope i am not sounding more and more difficult to understand)..

There is a nice article that i had come across some time back-do have a look-its a medical article so some of it may not make much sense to the non-medical person but still worth a look.

Reminds me of Rajnikanth's dialogue in 'Baba'.

'Naan Late aa vanthalum latest aa varuvan'

Even If I'm late, I'll be the latest.

Any tamilians here - Please correct me if I am wrong.

no no Binoy...u've kept it really simple ....n yes i basically got the idea.....1-2 litres per hr ofcourse is ALOT....n dat certainly wud  mean ALOT of weight loss.....!!...

@Ami---hehe......so u r the latest !!!.....lol
