Dude , hello and welcome to carwale

the Thing about omni is it is mainly used for Travelling Goods and many people at a very affordable prices ,

there is no AC , Plus the Crash safety of Omni is very poor ,

i would rather sacrofoce the space and go for 800 or alto as safety is important

cheers,

Sri

Harish, I would only say briefly that it's a utility car.

This thread is renamed suitably & moved to relevant forum 'Buying a Car'.

Honesty is not a Spare Wheel that you pull out when in trouble. It's a Steering Wheel that keeps you on the right path throughout the life's journey.

If you can slow the car down to about 30 kmph or less whenever negotiating a turn, keep a top speed of 80kmph and are really really sure about your driving skills, can survive without AC and are in need of space, then I would say, go for it.

If the answer is no to any of the questions above, then just avoid it.

Cheers,

KP

Hi,

I am having one since 1997 - run around 70000 km. Nice one, as good as zero maintanence, dependable. We have done long journeys too with it. Daily 500 km in long run not a big deal. Maintaining it as second vehicle. Just because it is worth it!!

Maneuvering is fantastic, less turning radius, suitable for city driving - carrying load, more people; great fuel efficienct (around 18 kmpl in city driving & around 20 kmpl on highways). Pls do not forget to put safety barreir in the front, this will reduce the frontal collision impact toa great extent. Limit your high speed to 80 km/hr.

Most of the people dont know that it is Rear Wheel Drive (RWD). The stirring wheel is also near-to-flat as against other cars. Thus you get good pickup, good control, less fatigue & less load on the front wheels. (Test drive Omni & 800 immedaitely one after another to feel this).

Just go for it!!
