Hi,

I am in Bangalore. I like this website and the forum. The experiences/advices shared here are great and helps anyone buying the car.

I did a test drive on Indigo XL Grand and liked it very much. It may not have features like EBS, Airbags, etc., but I liked the space, driving, and features at that value.

However, I do not see many of them on road. If anyone can share their experience about the car and the dealer, it will be great help.

Any advice and recommendation is appreciated.

Thanks,

Joshi.

See , as a previous owner of TATA , i would never sugest or recomnd any Tata car to anyone {( even my enemy) ( if i ever had )} and thts the reason you dont see many of them in the Road and reliabilty is major issue and also these cars will have regualer problems

the Features and goodies offered at this Price is amazing and thats the Main Catch

I would seriously suggets you to go for the VERNA DIESEL or the CHEVY OPTRA MAGNUM DIESEL

Cheers,

Sri

Indigo XL (Petrol) will cost Rs.5.44 - 6.85 lac, while Verna (Petrol) will cost Rs.6.57 - 7.58 lac and Chevy Optra (Petrol) Rs.8.40 - 9.40 lac.

Indigo XL (Diesel) will cost Rs.6.29 - 7.55 lac, while Verna (Diesel) will cost Rs.7.92 - 8.68 lac and Chevy Optra Rs.9.14 - 10.45 lac.

In either case (petrol or diesel), the prices of 3 cars in question vary substantially from each other.  I suggest you finalise your budget & preferences, keeping in mind your usage.  If budget is not a constraint, you may consider Verna or Optra, as suggested by Sri.

In case you do not wish to spend more than what you would have otherwise spent on Indigo XL, I would suggest spend little less and consider going for Swift Diesel - will cost you in the price range of Rs.4.90 - 5.45 lac. It's a very good car for its price & segment.

Yes, Logan Diesel is a very good car - it is very spacious, comfortable, has good features inside & gives a very good mileage as well.  I personally, however, don't like its looks - especially the rear one.

I was thinking of Indigo, Verna, Innova as alternates. I liked Indigo XL because of the features, milage, and the space. I did a test drive of all and felt Innova tops from the driving comfort. But Indigo wasn't bad either and I almost finalized it.

I was wondering, for the kind of features packaged, why not many are going for it. I know that the best place to find out is through online friends.

I haven't tried Optra. Probably I will try that also.

Thanks again.

I suggest if you could also visit Research Section of this website. It will definitely help you in comparing the features of different cars.  Also read through user reviews.

In any case, keep us posted with your views & findings, and the car you decide to buy. Thanks.

The reason for many not going for Tata , even though there are lots of features and Affordable prices coz tata lacks reliabilty and is prone to Probs , many people dont mind to pay extra bucks rather than to suffer the PAIN

The chevy Optra Magnum diesel is the best of the LOT if you can spend so much or else the Verna will be a good choice and so is the Innova

Cheers,
Sri
