Which of these I should buy : Huyndai i10 Era or Palio Stile SLX?

I like to self-drive, but mostly be driving in city. Budget is around Rs. 4 lacs.  Am I leaving out better options by zeroing on these two models? Somehow I dont like Estilo or Wagon R. Also Max  power is  66 for i10 and 55 for Stile SLX (1.1Lt), is Stile underpowered? So does it make sense to go for Sports (power is 100) itself, though a more money is required?

Will it be better to wait 2007 out?
 Thank you.

Hey without any second choice just go for the New HYundai i10 it the Best in class presently and aslo a great value for money just go ahead with it,

Also there is no discount for the i10 so it doesnot make a good sense of buying it at the end of the year coz you will also affect the resale value of it soo better buy it on 2008 ( not 07 )

Cheers,

SRI

Since posting the first query, I have purchased Alto Lxi, almost 1 year now, being used by my favily and overall very happy. There was a/c leakage last month, most like due to some durnkard on a cycle bumping into the front.

Now I have another decision to make. I need to buy a car (small). On the road price with a/c, music and power steering should be around 3.5 lakhs. This one is for myself, for office use that involves car use in urban trips to small towns and poor road conditions.

best..

In a budget of Rs.3.5 lac (on-road), i.e. including road tax/registration & insurance, only Alto LXi will suit your preferences.  It comes with AC & Power Steering.  Music System you will have to buy separately along with other accessories. The total cost will remain below Rs.3.5 lac.

I was shortlisting Astar vs i10 vs Spark. If I extend my budget to 3.85 lakhs on road, which of them is better for a self driven car. Heard A star has poor visibility? I prefer peppy. How indica vista safire compare?  Thanks.. such a tough thing to choose a car to buy.

True, A-Star doesn't have very good visibility - the dashboard is very high - you have a feeling of sitting quite low inside.  Besides, it isn't very spacious & comfortable. Otherwise, it's quite peppy.

Spark I would rate better than A-Star for visibility & space/comfort.  Performance of Spark too is peppy. Service network & quality, and GM issues, are a matter of concern.

i10 is all in all better than the other two.  Vista is the most spacious & comfortable, and is a true VFM (pricing/package) but is not as peppy as i10 & others.

Test-drive i10 & Vista - choose the one that suits your preferences all in all.
