thanx  Abhi , Pankaj n Sri.

plz tell me sth more abt i10 as m planning to get 1 in january

According to me THe i10 is class when compared to WagonR , Santro , Spark

The power is good, better interiors , Good space , Beter gearshift , Good milage , plus Hyundais service and reliability and after sales support is good

Think your choice is good , i would also sugest you to look at the Swift

CHeers,
Sri
If i opt for Delite is it worth more than Santro on performance?

Is there any difference b/w engine Santro & i10?

My Serious Suggestion is Please avoid the Non power steered Dlite , and pplease spend a Little more and go for the ERA and Its Much Worth

The differnce between snatro and i10 is , Santro is getting outdated and i10 looks much better sylish and Beter advanced than santro , even the Space , geashift and Milage is better in i10

Cheers,
Sri

.... Is there any difference b/w engine Santro & i10?

Santro & i10, both are 1086 CC cars.  Santro has Hyundai Epsilon Engine with power of 63 ps @ 5500 rpm & torque of 89 Nm @ 3000 rpm.  i10 is iRDE (engine) - with power of 67 ps @ 5500 rpm & torque of 99 Nm @ 2800 rpm.

I dont find anything better than Wagon-R in totallity. So i wont suggest you to go for I-10. because its just the same santro except 2 modifications which are not so popular in today's time.

I agree with Ved Parakash. I have had a test drive of I 10 yesterday, it feels well refined. But overall, I feel the santro is yet a better buy, especially considering the cost factors. I strongly believe I 10 is not a real VFM machine. It should have been atleast 25-35 K less than what it is as of now. Let us not forget that I 10 is new born baby and it has to include additional goodies to remain floating in the market, and hence follows the concept behind change in interiors. Though I feel that  the car has a very stodgy look, esp from front side with both head lamps protruding out of the main body frame just like a toad's eyes. In the long run, I am convinced that it may not be able to retain the attraction unlike its elder brother the Santro which looks very much cute. Remember for a car the external looks also matter most as against the inetriors and it can cause severe market failure. Better examples of similar cars which have failed to impress the customers depite of their better performances are, Ford Escort, Fiat siena, Opel Corsa, Hyundai Santro (Old Mickey Mouse looks), Ford Fusion etc.

Both are same engines yaar. The Hyndai epsilon has 3 valve per cylender while IRDE has 4 valves per cylender. So better the power delivery. Be aware that Hyundai has to substitute this engine with alarger one in the near future since the power demands of the chassis are not adequately fulfilled. Further the stodgy looks also wpold  be changed to maintain market demands

Same engines with an extra value per cylinder & little more power & torque.

Performance of the engine is not like santro? or it is better than that?
But one thing is for sure that the fuel efficiency is great. It is right to wait to buy.

I believe that the Hyundais have a practice of experimenting first on models with ugly looks and then refining them to an extent that they turn out to be the best ones around. For instance take the case of Santro, which was introduced during 1999. The model looked very silly with round tail lamps, a very flat rear end, oval head lamps which resembled those of Mickey mouse eyes. Later they undertood the importance of looks in the mind of indian customer and came up with Xing with very appealing looks and functional equipments. The extent to which this model is succesful is well known to everybody.  Similar is the case of their premium saloon car, the Sonata. Earlier came the sonata with round head and tail lamps. The concept of having a pair of round dual head lamps was also introduced to the indian customer in thsi package. The front grille resembled and reminded us to those of Kapil Dev's long Teeths.  This ugly looking concept was later worked upon and a very stylish Sonata Embera is out there.

Similar is the case of the I10, with very ugly looks and concept. I am very sure that Hyundai will go back to their drawing boards very soon and work upon a very smart new concept I10 which will be a great hit on indian roads. For all those who are rushing to their nearby Hyndai showrooms I suggest them to wait for short period till Hyundai understands the ground relity and comes back with a reasonable machine.

White will be little difficult to maintain & won't look as elegant as metalic colours.  Anyway, it is a matter of personal preference. You  must of course be aware of that white being non-metalic, is marginally cheaper (Rs.3k approx.).
