hey Pankaj ,

I dint liked the Santro Xing after the Launch of new WagonR , but when i saw a Charming grey Santro XIng XS ( with spoiler ) it looked pretty much cooll and i liked it , but after that Hyundais move wasnt reallly goood for the Santor Xing , no spoiler forget the spoiler , no Fog lamp and wheel caps for the top end XO  , which makes it rather look sad and besides the wrong move by Hyundai is Still continuing to sell santro even after the launch of i10 , similialry they did the same with Accent whne verna was launched , very sad , but the good thing is they are giving Indians what they exactly want!!

Cheers,

Sri

Yes, and I have heard that Santro is not going to be discontinued even in near future.

Yes, I think there's already some discount &, as you say, hope it increases - else it will have real tough time.

Well with discount on Santro, hike in price for I10, availability of Accent GLE (in 5-6 lacs) Hyundai seems to have done something interseting: Position itself such that it has a different & incremental model available for every new lac a customer is planning to spend.

  • 3-4 lac - Santro
  • 4-5 lac - I10
  • 4.5-6 lac - Getz
  • 5-6 lac - Accent
  • 7-9 lac - Verna
  • 8.5-12 lac - Elantra
  • 14-17.5 lac - Sonata

No wonder it is amongst the leaders keeping market share growth in mind.

As I have said earlier, performance, power & mileage of LXi & VXi are all the same.  Mileage is 11/12 in city & 15/16 on highway - depending upon the driving conditions & style.
