Hi All

Manoj here from Bangalore. I am having Bike & Car (1 Year Old).

I am central Govt. Employee (Min Of Defence) & paying annual road tax.

For two years (which is not going to extend) I have been transferred to Delhi.

If I takes NOC from Bangalore, do I have to register in Delhi and again go through NOC-register process while coming back?

or can I just take NOC from Bangalore, do not register in Delhi only pay the road tax? But Will Delhi RTO accept tax withought registration.

Or sholud I pay road tax for next year, take NOC from Bangalore , no registration in Delhi, Come back after two year and cancel NOC paying road tax with 1 Year Fine.

I am tottally naive to these, These options I have selected reading older thread in Carwale.

Plz suggest which one I should take or any better solution.

Regards

Manoj Verma

Welcome to carwale Manoj.

Since you are going in for 2 years its better to get the NOC from Bangalore and re-register the vehicles in Delhi. While coming back you can again get an NOC and then register it in Bangalore.

Hi,

I shifted my car from Chennai to Ranchi with NOC issued for Ranchi RTO, and post to that being out of any fixed location, could not get my car re-registration done in Ranchi and my NOC has expired (More than a year since issuance of NOC.

Now i may land up in 2 choices, either move to Delhi or move to Chennai. What are my options?

1. If moving the car back to Chennai, what process needs to be followed?

2. If moving the car to Delhi, what's your opinion, what i should be following?

Welcome to carwale Anupam.

Since you did not reregister your car in Ranchi you can take it back to Chennai without any problems. You would not be required to do anything as far as I think. If you want to take it to Delhi then you will have to take an NOC from Chennai and do the process as you would have done it in Ranchi. Hope this helps.

Earlier replies on the same thread mentions that once NOC is taken from one city, details gets omitted from that RTO office. Should i be doing anything for that? I guess 2nd time NOC issuance from base RTO also may get denied, if the record is already deleted.

If I am not wrong then the entry gets deleted only when you submit a request to re-register in the new city. In your case you have not re-registered and your NOC has expired. So I suppose you car should still be registered in Chennai because if it is not then it would make your car from no-mans land, neither registered in Ranchi and deleted from Chennai as well in which case the present registration number that you have (which I suppose would be a TN registration) would be illegal as it is not registered in the first place. However (since I am not an RTO guy and am not completely sure of this) I would suggest that you yourself visit the Chennai RTO and find if your car is still registered in Chennai or like you said, it has been deleted from the records  or even better get in touch with an agent to do your job.

Hello All,

I am new to the community. I have a question to you all.

I bought Maruti swift in Oct 2010, the same day I got transfered to Banglaore. I came to bangalore with UP registration Number, given that I took NOC from RTO NOIDA. I did not take the tax refund from NOida RTO[for obvious reasons ]

I paid life time tax and applied Re-registration of car. I got Karnataka Number as well.

Now, If I want to move back to Noida, can I drive my car there after taking NOC from bangalore RTO, as my tax is already with Noida RTO.

Help required !!!!!!!!!
