i think best option would be to go for swift diesel. great engine low noise low vibration good fuel economy and on top of it wide after sale serviceand relatively cheap spares.

LPG Retrofitment would reduce the engine performance/pick-up by 10-15% & engine life by 5% or a little more (depending upon the LPG Kit, Retrofitment/Workmanship Quality, Maintenance etc.).  Besides, it would reduce the mileage of your car, say from 14 to 12, but the running cost would be economical as compared to petrol for obvious reason.

Like-wise, CNG would reduce the performance/pick-up by 20-55% & engine life by 10%. It would increase the mileage of your car, say from 14 to 16 & the running cost would be much more economical as compared to Petrol & LPG.

In the case of Diesel, though the running cost isn’t as cheap as CNG & LPG, it’s quite economical as compared to Petrol – more than 50%.  The biggest advantage is that you don’t lose engine performance/power & life.  By the way, Diesel engines are very refined these days & maintenance cost too is only a little more than Petrol’s.

I would recommend Swift Diesel or Indica Vista QJD.  Getz diesel is also a good car.  Test-drive these cars with family, and finalise the one that suits your budget & other preferences well.

hello rohan,

swift diesel would be a ideal choice for u as ur running is 1200 kms a month so diesel would be the most preferable for u & swift is a good car with very good performance & mileage & a good driver's car.

if ur main criteria is space for 5 people than consider vista quadraget which has the same engine as swift but is much more spacious.

test drive both the cars & whichever u like buy that.

as u are young & a college going guy & would love driving ur car & having fun with it, in this case i would suggest u the swift diesel.
