WagonR verses Santro

Me & my friend brought wagonR & santro respectively.After six months the review is as follows :

1) WagonR is more spacious

2) A.C. of WagonR is more effective

3) Gear shifting is smoother in Santro

4) Riding is more comfortable in WagonR

5) Santro has a provision for four speakers

6) Rear door of WagonR dosn't have syncronisation with the body light

Good but maintanance wise which one is better?

It is too early to comment as vehicles has been purchased six months back.However,Fuel average is better in WagonR.

I neither own WagonR nor Santro, but have driven both considerably.  I agree with Manish - WagonR scores over Santro over various aspects.  It is not only more spacious but is quite airy inside, as it is a tall car.  But I feel AC effect in Santro should be more, as it is not a tall car - but I'm not sure.  Santro is, however, in one aspect better than WagonR and that is road grip.  This could be experienced at high speed / highway.  In fact, all tall cars (WagonR, Maruti Omni & the like) have poor road grip once they speed above 80 kmsph - making them relatively more prone to high speed accidents.

Honesty is not a Spare Wheel that you pull out when in trouble. It's a Steering Wheel that keeps you on the right path throughout the life's journey.

hi MAnish..... nice points there.... but pls cud u put light on ponts 1 and 6. 1.wher is the Extra SPace in WagonR? 6.i dint quite get wat u mean....

in case of maintainence...ofcourse the WagonR wil turn out to be much lesser in the WagonR...since its MAruti.... but ya..6 months r two less to calculate that...also both cars must be in warranty rite now....

Dear Pankaj Prasad,In Indian Road conditions people drive at a speed of  80-100 km/hr.Very rarely they go beyond 100 km/hr.

Abhijeetji,Aisa nahin hai,mere aur colleques kae paas wagonR aur Santro hai par overall competition main wagonR santro sai behtar pradarshan kar rahi hai.Jahan tak body sai awaaj ki baat hai woh to ek saal kae baad hi paata chalega par jin logon kae paas wagonR pichlae 4-5 saalon sae hai unhonae aisi koi shikayat nahin ki hai.Main koi WagonR ka paksh nahin lae raha hoon.Sirf apna experience bata raha hoon

Most of the national highways are now 4 lane & are good enough to speed above 90/100 kmsph or more.  If you drive below 90 you'll find most of the cars overtaking you (nothing wrong in it).  As such, it is advisable to drive at 80/85 kmsph - steadily of course.  It is absolutely safe (better control) and gives less wear & tear to the car - will also give better milage.  That's what I do even on Mumbai-Pune Express Highway (6 lanes) & Ahmedabad-Vadodara Express Highway (4 lanes).
